I laid in my closet, in my nest of blankets, pillows, and Sebastian's jacket. It had been about three days and my heat had only gotten stronger. I could tell father was getting concerned since it had never been this strong. He had decided to invite Aunt Franziska over.

There was a knock on my door, "(Y/n), may I come in?" It was Aunt Franziska. I spoke up, "Come in." The door opened and she stepped inside, closing it behind her. She came to the closet and kneeled down, "How are you feeling?" I sighed, "Like I've been in 110° heat." She looked at me, "Your father is a fool. There's nothing wrong with you. Your heat is just stronger because you've found your alpha."

She gestured to Sebastian's jacket, "And it's stronger because your bodily instincts want you to mate. So it's best if you wait until it's over to see Sebastian." I nodded, "I understand." She ruffled my hair and left the room. 30 minutes later, the two of them left to the grocery store for some things.

I shakily got up to go get water. I walked out of my room and into the kitchen. I filled up a water bottle and took a drink, pausing when I heard the door unlock. They couldn't have gotten back that fast, but then again, my father's workers like Detective Gumshoe, had a key for emergencies.

Then, a familiar scent hit my nose. I tensed, the hot feeling engulfing my entire body. I hesitantly stepped around the corner. Sebastian stood in front of the closed front door, a manilla envelope and many papers scattered in front of him on the floor. His eyes snapped up to mine. My legs started to shake as my mind hazed over from his scent. His eyes darkened as he continually stared.

In an instant, I was pinned to the wall with his face in the crook of my neck. I whimpered as I felt his hot breath on my neck. Suddenly, he pulled away and pushed himself into the nearest wall. His eyes became light again. He spoke, "(Y/n)...I'm sorry." I shook my head, "It's alright. You should clean up those papers though." He quickly picked them up. I grabbed his hand.

"Come with me. Please."

I took him to my room and into my nest in the closet. I laid down, pulling him down next to me. I nuzzled into his side, taking in his smell. I felt much better. He held me nervously, but relaxed after awhile. Eventually, I fell asleep in his arms.

One hour later...

I awoke to my father shouting, "This was reckless, Sebastian. Anything could have happened!" I opened my eyes to see Sebastian talking to my father outside of the closet. I spoke up, "I brought him in here. He had papers for you but I wanted him to stay with me." Father frowned, "You didn't do anything...did you?" I shook my head, "No! I've been asleep. His smell calms me down."

He huffed, "I still don't want to risk it, (Y/n). He can scent some things for you, but after that, he can go." I nodded, "Ok." Sebastian bowed his head, "Yes, Mr. Edgeworth." After that, Sebastian scented some blankets and other things for me. Before he left my room, I grabbed his arm, "Thanks Sebastian. You're the best mate I could've asked for." I kissed him.

He kissed back before pulling away with a smile, "I'll see you later, (Y/n)." Then, he was gone.

I sunk back into my nest, falling asleep in the haze his scent gave me.
