Your Pov:

I walked into the Interpol boss's office, "Yes sir?" The boss sat at his desk with another man next to him. The boss spoke, "Come in (L/n)." He gestured to the man, "This is Daryan Crescend. Your new partner."

That was the day we met...

One year later...

I stepped into Interpol with Daryan at my side. His arm was slung over my shoulder. We had been together for 6 months now. We had been given orders to catch a few smuggling ring members in Zheng Fa. We picked up our guns and boarded the private jet.

The jet took off and we sat in silence for the first few minutes. Then, Daryan spoke up, "This smuggling ring isn't something to mess with. So, if anything goes wrong, I want you to abort the mission." I sighed, "This is my job, Daryan. I knew the risks associated with this job when I took it." He ran a hand through his hair.

"I wouldn't be able to live with myself if you got hurt or...killed." I shook my head, "I'll be fine." He looked at me, "I love you." I smiled, "I love you too."

Sometime later, the jet landed in Zheng Fa. We got off and started tracking the smuggling members. Hours later, we arrived at a eerie looking warehouse. Daryan turned to me, "Be safe. I love you." I nodded, "I love you too. Be careful." We separated in the warehouse. I ducked behind a crate, hearing gun shots further in. It sounded like Daryan's gun. I crawled along the hall and peered around the corner.

Daryan was on the other side of a large room. 3 men stood in front of him, guns drawn. Behind them, jewels, art, and other smuggled pieces laid on the ground. Daryan fired a shot, causing the men to take cover. Daryan took out two of them. I aimed at the one closest to me, but he noticed me. He shot at me first. The bullet pierced through my abdomen, causing a scream to escape my lips.

Daryan shot the man, killing him. I laid on my back, clutching my wound. My blood flowed onto the floor rapidly. Daryan kneeled next to me, pressing his blazer against my wound.  He pressed the button on his ear piece, "Agent Crescend to Interpol Group #127. Agent (L/n) has been hit by gunfire from the targets. Targets have been nullified. Send in the medic and a gurney! Quick!"

Over my ear piece, I heard a quick, "Understood!" Daryan looked at me, "You'll be alright. Just stay awake." Footsteps thudded in the hall as the medic and gurney came into the room. My eyes started to roll back as they loaded me onto the gurney. As I faded in and out, I could hear Daryan calling me. Then, I fell unconscious.

3 Days Later...

I woke up groggily. I was in a hospital room. My blanket slid off to reveal a bloodied bandage wrapped around my torso. Daryan was asleep in the chair next to me. I nudged him, "D-Daryan..." He slowly woke up, "Huh...(Y/n)! You're awake." I spoke, "What happened?" He looked at me, "You've been out for 3 days. The doctors removed the bullet from your body but you lost a lot of blood."

He brought me close, kissing me as if I'd disappear. He pulled away, "You scared me!" I rested a hand on his cheek, "It's alright. I'm here. And I'm not going anywhere." He sighed.

"You better not..."
