Your Pov:

I stepped into Mr. Edgeworth's office, my hands trembling slightly. He looked up at me from his desk, "You and I need to talk." I went to speak but he cut me off, "No ifs, ands, or buts. Get your ass in here and we're going to talk." Now, everyone in the office knew that Mr. Edgeworth was dead serious if he ever swore. I got all the way into the office and closed the door behind me. He stood up.

"Now you're a smart girl right? And you know when someone is doing something inappropriate to you right? So if someone were to touch you in a spot where you are not comfortable or accepting of them doing so, you would tell me wouldn't you?" I tensed. I knew exactly what he was getting at. A new detective was brought into the precinct and he thought he could do what he wanted.

He ended up making suggestive comments, gestures, and even grabbed me a few times. I had no idea that Mr. Edgeworth had found out. He spoke, "I'd hope so. I saw that guy touching you and you didn't look so pleased. Now, I need you to be honest with me because here's two things
that could happen from this situation."

He cleared his throat, "Either: one, you can lie and tell me that it's alright, nothing was going on, you're fine. The guy wasn't sexually assaulting you and I'll still beat his ass. Or you can tell the truth and the outcome will still be the same. I'll beat his ass. So detective, what's it going to be?" I bit my lip, "I-I'm fine, Mr. Edgeworth. Please, don't worry about it."

He sighed, "Don't lie to me. You see, I don't know how your friends are. I don't know how your family is. I don't know...I don't know what they make
you believe you have to do and what you can't or can say but if someone is doing something that hurt you...if someone is taking advantage of you, you tell someone! Alright? You tell someone. No one deserves that."

He sighed, "No one does and to any bastard who tries to do something to you without your consent, they can be sure that my left and right fist will touch their face with the utmost full consent and respect. I don't tolerate that shit. Not here. Not ever."

He looked at me, "Now, I'm going to go out there and confront this bastard and kick his ass. And if you ever, ever find yourself in a situation like this again with him or with anyone else, you tell me and I'll take care of it."

He huffed, "Detective, have I made myself clear?" I nodded, "Yes, sir." He coughed, "Good. Now I'm just going to have to make an example of this man. I don't care how old he is. I don't care if he's 30. I don't care if he's 16. I don't care if he's 25, 20, 21, 80, 55. It doesn't matter to me. If you have the gall to do something to anyone, anyone without them being in full compliance to what is going on, they are ready for punch to the face. Like I said before, if and when this happens again, you are to tell me. Now the next time it happens and I know it did and you don't come telling me...well I'll do more than just punch the shit out of him." I nodded and left his office.

I went to my desk and sat down, starting on some reports. I paused as I heard someone stop in front of my desk. I looked up to see the new detective. He smirked, his eyes looking me up and down, making me feel uncomfortable. Before he could speak, another voice interrupted, "If you want to keep your job, I suggest you cease this disgusting behavior. Otherwise, I'll have you removed myself." The detective paled and turned tail, scurrying away. I sighed silently in relief. Mr. Edgeworth turned to me, "There. Now, if he bothers you again, let me know."

I nodded, "Thank you and yes sir." After he walked away, I smiled to myself. My heart felt lighter.
