I served the last customer for the afternoon and headed towards the dressing room. As I turned down the hall, I noticed Simon standing by the window. He had gotten an invitation to come to the show. I smiled, "Good afternoon Simon." He turned to look at me, "Good afternoon (Y/n). Finished with work, I assume?" I nodded, "Yes. I hope I didn't keep you waiting long." He spoke, "Not at all." I leaned my head on his shoulder and he rested an arm on my waist, pulling me close. I closed my eyes.

After a few minutes, I felt Simon move slightly. I cracked an eye open to see him looking out the window. I followed his gaze to Geiru, who was feeding her dog. She was out of her regular clown get up and in some casual clothes. Her hair was down. Then, Simon did something that made me want to slap him

He was checking Geiru out.

His eyes were looking her up and down, without shame. I decided to give him a taste of his own medicine. I acted like I didn't notice what he did as I started speak, "So, that new prosecutor from overseas came to the restaurant a few days ago. He was so polite and charming." Simon tensed slightly, "Oh. Is that so?" I continued, "Yes. He even said I was beautiful. But of course, a handsome man like that would know beauty."

He didn't get to reply as Uendo came out of the dressing room screaming. There had been a murder. A day later, we went to court. I took every opportunity to make Simon jealous and Prosecutor Sahdmadhti got the hint and played along. The defendant was declared not guilty and I headed out to the lobby. Athena and Simon came out just as I was thanking Prosecutor Sahdmadhti for helping me.

He bid me goodbye and I turned towards Simon, "Can I help you?" He looked at Athena, "I'll meet you at the Whet Noodle. Go on ahead." Athena nodded and left, but not without winking at us like 5 times. Simon spoke, "What was that between you and the prosecutor?" I smirked, "Oh, nothing. Just a little bit of sweet revenge." He crossed his arms, "Sweet revenge, hm? What for, may I ask?"

I shrugged, "I don't know...maybe don't check out a random clown girl in front of your girlfriend? Do you have no shame?" He laughed, "You should know better. Looking at her only makes me think of you." I turned and started walking out of the court.

"Then you better make it up to me Simon."
