This is volume 2 to my first Ace Attorney One Shots Book!
If you haven't read that book yet, you should go read it because certain chapters will not make sense if you don't!
Thank you!
A/N: This takes place in an old west time setting. This means cowboys, etc, etc. Get ready for some references!
Your Pov:
I walked around the saloon, looking for anyone open. I was a saloon girl which meant my job was to entertain customers by sitting with them, enjoying a few drinks, and leaving them broke by the end of the night. I sighed and walked upstairs to take a break. On the landing, I noticed a familiar group of men. As I walked up to them, I stopped and looked in the mirror at myself. I dusted my dress.

(Imagine it in any color!)
I approached the first man, smiling as wrapped my arms around his neck from behind, "Well if it isn't Mr. Morgan! How've you been?" I stepped back as he turned to face me, "I've been better Miss Matthews. You?" Before I could answer, someone cleared their throat behind him. Mr. Morgan moved aside to reveal who it was. My face went blank, "Papa." It was my father. Father spoke, "(Y/n)."
Mr. Morgan continued, "You know, (Y/n), there's always a spot in the camp for you if you want it." I shook my head, "Thanks for the offer, but my lover and I have a life here." He nodded, "Alright. Well, if you need anything, you know where to go."
After that, they left. From below in the bar, I heard a familiar voice, "Is (Y/n) here?" Just then, a very drunk man approached me. I tensed. Phoenix knew that I came here, but he didn't know it was for work.
The bartender spoke, "Upstairs on the landing, Mr. Wright." Then, the drunk man cornered me, his alcohol scented breath hitting my face, "We're going to get to know each other real well soon." I looked behind the man to see Phoenix staring at me.
I looked at him, pleading to be saved with my eyes. As the man got closer, I closed my eyes. Suddenly, the man's weight was gone. I opened my eyes right in time to see Phoenix knock the man out with a punch to the face.
Phoenix looked at me, "Home. Now." I frowned and walked downstairs. I walked out of the saloon and into the night air. Once outside, Phoenix helped me onto his horse before getting on behind me. He flicked the reins and the horse started off in a canter. Phoenix was silent.
The whole ride home was silent. When we got to our small farmhouse, he helped me off the horse and told me to go inside. I went inside and waited. After a few minutes, Phoenix came inside.
He sat at the table where I was sitting and started to talk, "What were you thinking? I come looking for you and I find you upstairs in the saloon, in this dress-" He gestured to my legs and chest as he continued, "With a drunk man over you!" I huffed.
"It's called working! I work in the saloon. I don't want to be useless. It's not like I'm enjoying what I do. It's a job." He frowned, "I make more than enough money to support us both. You don't need to work. I respect your choices and decisions, but I can't let you do this. I want you to quit." I glared, "No."
I continued, "It's my life. I get that you're worried and everything, but you forget who raised me. I was raised with two boys I thought of as brothers and my father. I am able to defend myself. And, by the way, I saw my father today. I also saw one of the boys. He's a gunslinger and my father's a great con man. How do you think I make all that money?" Phoenix bit his lip, "Fine. You don't have to quit, but I'll be at the saloon during the night to watch over you."
I smiled, "Alright. Whatever makes you happy. But I'll warn you, my father, along with Mr. Morgan and Mr. Marston will probably confront you once they know we're together." He paled and laughed nervously, "I-I think I'll be fine...I hope..."
