Your Pov:

The next morning, I got up and started getting ready for work. I got into my closet and picked out my outfit for the day.

I brushed my hair and styled it before heading downstairs. Athena sat at the table, eating cereal. She looked up at me, "Into the bathroom. I have to do some serious damage control." She dragged me into the bathroom and grabbed the make up. I looked in the mirror. The hickies had faded a bit overnight, but they were still visible.

She quickly got to work, covering them perfectly. I put on some mascara  and lipstick after she got done. I grabbed my purse from the kitchen, "I'm leaving now, Athena." She called back, "Ok. Remember what I said." I left the house and caught the bus to the office. I headed inside and went up to Simon's office. I stopped outside the door, taking some deep breaths.

After I calmed down, I opened the door and stepped inside. Simon sat at his desk, reading over a case file. Taka was perched on his shoulder as usual. I spoke, "Good morning, Simon." He looked up at me, "Hm, just who I wanted to see. I need you to go make copies of this. And be quick about it." I grabbed the paper he held out and left the room. After a few minutes, I reached the copier and started making the copies. I grabbed the finished copies and original paper.

I turned, only to bump into someone else. I looked up, "Oh. Sorry for bumping into you, Prosecutor Sahdmadhti." He smiled at me, "There is no need. It's my fault for bumping into such a beautiful woman." I blushed slightly, "T-Thanks. Did they assign you to another case here? Prosecutor Blackquill told me you were back in Khura'in." He nodded, "Yes. I was requested back a few weeks after I went back. Are you Prosecutor Blackquill's wife?"

I quickly shook my head, "No, no. I'm just his legal assistant." Before he could answer, another voice cut him off, "(Y/n), I thought I told you to be quick about it." Of course, it was Simon. I spoke, "I know. I just got caught up with Prosecutor Sahdmadhti." Prosecutor Sahdmadhti nodded, "I apologize for keeping her so long." He turned to me, "I hope to see you again (Y/n)." Then, he left.

Simon practically dragged me back to his office. Once inside, he turned to me, "I told you to make copies, did I not?" I nodded. He continued, "Then why were you wasting time by speaking to Prosecutor sad monk?" I sighed, "Why do you care? I may be your legal assistant, but I'm not your girlfriend or anything." He moved to his desk, "Last night. We still haven't talked about it." I bit my lip.

"What is there to talk about? It happened and we can't take it back. Athena's against it and won't change her mind." He looked at me, "I want to know your thoughts. Not Athena's." I looked away, "Simon, I like you. I really do, but it can't happen. I'm 17 and my birthday isn't for a while."

I continued, "And what did you think getting jealous of Prosecutor Sahdmadhti was going to do?" He scoffed, "I was not jealous of that bloody monk!" I rolled my eyes, "So then you wouldn't care if I saw him again? I mean, he did say he wanted to see me again." He spoke, "(Y/n)." I ignored him, "Or if I went on a date with him? Or better yet, transferred and became his legal assistant?"

In an instant, I was pinned to the desk. My lower back made contact with the cold wood. He looked at me, "You have no idea what you're saying. I'm not jealous. Just...Unsure." I tilted my head, "Unsure?" He pulled away from me, "Prosecutor sad monk, he's practically a bloody prince. He could give you anything, everything. He's 21. Only 4 years older than you. And, Athena would approve of him."

I stepped closer, gripping his hands, "Simon...Prosecutor Sahdmadhti may be a prince, but I don't care. Money and luxury items can't buy my love. And I don't care if you're 4 or 11 years older than me. You're still you."

I smiled.

"And I like you."

I rested my head on his chest, "I don't care if Athena gets angry at me, because I know what I feel for you is real." It was silent. Then, I felt his fingers on my chin. He tilted my head up and his lips touched mine. I stepped up on my toes more, the heels not helping the height difference. After a few moments, we pulled away.

I smiled, "Now, let's get back to work."
