I walked into the visitation room, shivering from the cold. I sat down and waited for Junie. After a few minutes, she came in and sat down. Her eyes were red and puffy, as if she'd been crying. I spoke, "Why are you crying?" She sniffled, "I told the truth to Thena and Apollo. But..." My eyes widened, "You outed Hugh?!" She nodded, "I had to, but..." I looked at her, "I have to tell you something. I messed up. Badly..."
She looked at me, "What did you do?" I looked down, "Do you remember when the academy had the celebratory party for the students who got picked for the mock trial?" She nodded, "Yeah." A few tears rolled down my cheek, "W-Well, at the party, I...Hugh...we..." She stared at me. I spoke, "At the party, we did something bad..." She brought a hand to her mouth, "No. You...you hooked up?"
I nodded, "Y-Yes...But I messed up." I continued, "I've been feeling sick since then." She shook her head, "No, you are not what I think you are. You have your whole life ahead of you. We have about 30 minutes of visitation left. They have the test in the first aid kit in the hall. Return in 10 minutes." I nodded, "Ok." About 10 minutes later, I went back for the rest of the visit.
Junie looked at me, "Well?" I nodded, "Positive. What do I do Junie?!"
(This is also after Blackquill exposes Hugh's true age. But reader is 18 like Junie!)
She sighed, "Well, wait until after the trial to tell him. You're going to tell him, right?" I bit my lip, "I have to Junie. It's not like I can hide it." She nodded, "Just know, I'm here for you." She was cut off, "Me too (Y/n)!" I turned to see Robin. Robin smiled, "I'll be here for you too! Even if Hugh won't be!" I looked at them, "Thanks guys." I turned to Junie, "I'll see you."
She nodded, "I'll see you tomorrow." After that, Robin and I headed back to the academy. I avoided Hugh like the plague. The next day, the trial went crazy. Hugh tried to to take the blame, which saddened me. He was probably in love with Junie. After the trial, Junie was declared innocent and we all went back to the academy. The four of us stood in the lecture hall. Robin brought up the friendship bands we all had. She looked at me.
"Are you still wearing yours?" I nodded, raising my skirt on the side slightly, "Here."
(Just pretend it's the hands instead of the hearts)

She smiled, "I knew you would." Junie spoke, "(Y/n), don't you need to talk to Hugh? Come on Robin." Junie dragged Robin over to her lawyers. Hugh looked at me, "Speak to me? About?" I looked down, "Remember...the party?" He nodded, "Yes." I swallowed the lump in my throat, "Well, here..." I handed him a card with the test taped to the inside. He opened the card, reading the inside. His eyes stopped on the test. He froze, "P-Positive?"
I nodded, "Yes..." He didn't move, "Pregnant?" I huffed, "If you don't want to help, then I'll do it without you." Junie and Robin looked at us. I continued, "I mean, you were going to confess to Junie right?" He nodded, "I was but-" I cut him off, "Then forget I ever told you." He grabbed my wrist, "Listen to me. I was going to confess to Juniper about my age and staying as friends. Nothing more, nothing less." I looked at him, "Well, what do you think we should do? The school year isn't even over and I need to graduate. And I like you, but you probably don't like me so-!"
I put a hand over my mouth. I bowed my head, "I'm just going to go. Don't worry about what I said." Then, I fled from the lecture hall. I rushed down the hall, ignoring Hugh's calls for me. I dashed into my dorm and locked the door. I turned off the light just as footsteps echoed down the hallway. I heard his voice, "(Y/n), don't shut me out." I stayed silent. He spoke again.
"Please..."
I bit my lip and unlocked the door, "Hugh..." He stood in front of my door, looking at me, "(Y/n), can I come in?" I opened the door further and let him in. I sat on my bed. He spoke, "Did you mean it?" I looked away, "Mean what?" He gripped my hand, "That you like me." I huffed, "I did, but I get it if you don't like me. Just forget it." I looked up at him. He was smiling.
"I like you too."
He continued, "And regarding the baby, it's up to you. I have no problems raising it with you, but it's your decision." I hugged him, "Thank you for staying with me and loving me. Now, let's go tell Junie and Robin the good news!"
Juniper and Robin were ecstatic about my decision and Hugh and I getting together. And for once, I actually felt like nothing could bring me down.
