Your Pov:

I hopped out of the taxi and snuck into the church venue. The man I loved was getting married to the wrong girl. I was planning on speaking up instead of holding my peace. I didn't want all the attention on me, but speaking out would do that in that situation.

I am not the kind of girl who should be rudely barging in on a white veil occasion. But you are not the kind of boy who should be marrying the wrong girl...

I stopped next to a slightly opened door. I peaked through the crack to see the bride to be in a very ugly dress. Her cherry red hair still had it's crown braids but the ends had been pinned up into a bun. She was yelling at a bridesmaid who was her sister, Iris. I felt bad for the girl. I continued walking, pausing outside a new room.

I sneak in and see your friends and her snotty little family all dressed in pastel. And she is yelling at a bridesmaid somewhere back inside a room wearing a gown shaped like a pastry.

Larry and Miles were in black suits with pastel colored ties and handkerchiefs. They looked less than thrilled to be there. I went to the empty altar, looking for a hiding spot.

This is surely not what you thought it would be. I lose myself in a daydream
Where I stand and say 'Don’t say "Yes", run away now. I’ll meet you when you’re out of the church at the back door. Don’t wait or say a single vow. You need to hear me out. And they said, "Speak now.".'

I quickly hid behind the curtains when I heard everyone coming. Phoenix stood at the front of the altar as everyone else took their seats. After everyone was distracted, I slipped into an empty seat in the back. I took a deep breath to prepare.

Fond gestures are exchanged and the organ starts to play a song that sounds like a death march. And I am hiding in the curtains. It seems that I was uninvited by your lovely bride-to-be.

Dahlia had not invited me to the wedding, but I didn't let that stop me. I was determined. Just then, the organ started playing the march.

She floats down the aisle like a pageant queen. But I know you wish it was me. You wish it was me, don’t you?

She walked smugly, like she was walking towards a prize waiting to be win. I bit my lip, my thoughts running wild as I waited for the right moment.

Don’t say "Yes", run away now. I’ll meet you when you’re out of the church at the back door. Don’t wait or say a single vow. You need to hear me out. And they said, "Speak now." Don’t say "Yes", run away now. I’ll meet you when you’re out of the church at the back door. Don’t wait or say a single vow. Your time is running out, and they said, "Speak now.".'

After the ceremony dragged on for a while, the preacher finally said the words I'd been waiting for. I shakily stood up, hands gripping the pew. I looked at Phoenix right in the eyes.

I hear the preacher say, "Speak now or forever hold your peace." There’s the silence, there’s my last chance. I stand up with shaky hands, all eyes on me.
Horrified looks from everyone in the room. But I’m only looking at you."

I swallowed the lump in my throat and started speaking, "I am not the kind of girl who should be rudely barging in on a white veil occasion. But you are not the kind of boy who should be marrying the wrong girl." I continued, "So, don’t say "Yes", run away now. I’ll meet you when you’re out of the church at the back door. Don’t wait or say a single vow. You need to hear me out. And they said, "Speak now."." He looked at me.

He spoke, "Let’s run away now. I’ll meet you when I’m out of my tux at the back door." Phoenix walked out of the church and into the hallway. Dahlia dropped her bouquet and shrieked at her family to do something, but they sat silently. I quickly left, running around to the back of the church. Once I got there, Phoenix was already waiting. He smiled and grabbed my hands, " I didn’t say my vows..."

"So glad you were around when they said, "Speak now."."
