I sighed as I walked towards Nahyuta's quarters. He had been busy with many cases since the queen was dethroned and his health seemed to be declining. The servants bowed their heads to me as I passed and I smiled at them. As I got to Nahyuta's room, I knocked on the door.

"Nahyuta? May I come in?"

His voice called from inside. "Come in." I entered the room and shut the door behind myself. Nahyuta sat at his desk by the window. He looked completely worn out. Some strands of hair were loose from his braid and his clothes were wrinkled. I sighed. "Nahyuta, I think it's time you take a break. You look tired." He turned to me. "I will be fine, my love. I have to fulfill my duty to the courts."

I shook my head. "You need rest. Come, I'll help you bathe in the hot spring." He hesitantly stood. "Then let us go." We walked through the palace together, making our way towards the hot spring. It was for only the royal family and it was meant to be for private baths. It was surrounded by an eight foot wall on all sides.

As we got to the spring, I stopped outside the door. "I'll wait out here until you're ready. Just call for me." He nodded and kissed my forehead before heading inside. A few minutes later, he called for me. "(Y/n), you can come in now." I opened the door and stepped inside.

Steam rose up from the spring and into the sky. Nahyuta sat in the spring with his back to me. His clothes and jewelry were placed off to the side in a storage cubby. I grabbed some soap and a rag before sitting behind him. "You need to make time for breaks. Working like this isn't healthy."

I unraveled Nahyuta's braid and used a pitcher to pour some water onto it. He leaned back into my hands, sighing. "Yes, but with the many cases we have, rest seems impossible. Though, I am thankful for your care." I smiled as I lathered his hair with soap. "I'll always be here to take care of you. I love you." He smiled. "And I you, (Y/n)." I rinsed the soap from his hair and handed him the soapy rag. "Once you're finished and dressed, call for me."

I stood and stepped out. A few minutes later, he called me back in. He was now dressed in his evening clothes and his hair was still down. Out of it's braid, his hair stopped just below his waist. I grabbed a brush, hair ties, and some beads. "Here, I'll brush your hair and put it back up." He sat down in the chair and I started brushing his hair. The beautiful lavender-silver strands felt soft and smooth in my hands.

I pinned his hair up and added the beads to it, making sure it looked alright. I put Nahyuta's gold chain headdress back on him and handed him a mirror. "It's done."

He smiled

He smiled. "It's perfect. Mother is expecting us for dinner. We should hurry." I nodded. "Of course." We left the spring, walking hand in hand. He looked much happier and healthier. As we reached the dining room, he turned to me. "I never thought that I'd be blessed with a love like yours, but I was. I was lost and I asked my father to guide me. So he..." He grabbed my hands, smiling at me.

"He sent me you."
