Your Pov:

A few weeks passed and my pups eyes finally opened. I had also decided on names. I named the boy Gregory and the girl Franziska. Before the war, Miles introduced me to Franziska and we became like sisters. She had decided to fight in the war and give her life. I stood up, "Gregory, Franziska, let's go." They yipped, "Coming mama!" We left the den and headed down to eat. The two of them ran ahead a bit. I called out to them, "Wait up you two!" Just as I caught up, they bumped into another wolf.

He was tall and had white, almost lavender colored fur with tan markings. His eyes were a piercing green. I approached him, my pups moving behind my legs, "I'm sorry about that...Beta Sahdmadhti." This was Nahyuta Sahdmadhti, the son of Alpha Dhurke Sahdmadhti and a member of the royal pack. I bowed my head, "Your highness." He spoke, "Please, there is no need to bow. Are these your pups?" I looked at him.

"Yes. Their father is Alpha Edgeworth, but..." I looked at my pups, "Why don't you two go play with the others?" They smiled and ran off. I continued, "I fear that he is dead." He sighed, "I understand. The same pack claimed my father's life. If they come here, I intend to fight them with no mercy." I tilted my head, "And your sister and mother?" He spoke, "They will have to run again. Far away from here."

After that, we sat together and watched the pups play. I slightly leaned against him, but he didn't seem to mind. A while later, we went walking through the trees. I breathed in the fresh air, trying to destress. Suddenly, I misstepped and tripped Nahyuta. We rolled down the hill and came to a stop after a few seconds. As we came to a stop, I opened my eyes.

I was on my back with Nahyuta on top of me. Luckily, my fur covered my blush. He quickly moved, "I apologize. Are you alright?" I stood up, "Yes. I'm fine. But...that was fun!" I bowed (like the playful dog bow), "You're it, Nahyuta!" I ran past him, hearing him laugh behind me as he followed. We ran through the trees for hours, forgetting about our problems.

We found our way back to the hill as the sun started to set. I laid on my back, admiring the streaks of color. Nahyuta did the same. I spoke, "I haven't felt that free in forever. It's..." I turned my head to look at him. He spoke, "Amazing?" He turned his head to me and our noses touched. I froze and it seemed that he did too. We stared at each other. I slowly scooted back, putting some space between our noses, "Y-Yeah..." I continued.

"We should be getting back. It's getting late." I stood and he followed. As we walked back, our sides touched, never coming apart. Once we got back to the dens, Gregory and Franziska ran up to me, "Mama!" I nuzzled them, "Did you have fun today?" Gregory yipped, "Yeah!" Franziska giggled, "Miss Mia brought us some lunch and dinner." I smiled, "That's good. Now, it's time for bed." They both groaned, "Do we have to?"

I nodded, "Yes." I looked at Nahyuta, "Thanks for today. I'll see you tomorrow." He smiled, "Of course. Good night." He lightly nuzzled my neck before walking off. I looked at Gregory and Franziska, "Come along now." We walked back to the den in silence. Once there, I laid down and the two of them nuzzled into me. Franziska spoke, "Mama, a-are you replacing dad?" I spoke quickly, "O-Of course not. I could never replace your father." Gregory looked at me.

"Really? That other wolf seems to like you." I sighed, "No one is getting replaced, Gregory. Now, go to sleep." The two of them rested their heads and fell asleep. I laid awake, my thoughts running rampant.

If Miles was dead, I would have to find a father figure for my pups. And Nahyuta is my best choice. But on the other hand, if Miles is alive, it removes Nahyuta from the equation. The pups will have their father and I'll have my mate back. That means happily ever after for all of us...
