Change Of Character (Klavier x Reader)

A/N: So this is as if Klavier still performed in his band and the band hadn't separated after the whole thing with Daryan.

Your Pov:

I sat backstage, waiting for the band to finish up their concert. The screams of eager fan girls filled my ears. The song ended and the lights dimmed as the band headed offstage. They all turned off their headset mics and handed them to the staff. I approached Klavier, "Your performance was amazing as usual." He wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me to his side, "Thank you, fraulein. It means a lot coming from you." Just then, security came in with fans for the meet and greet. Some of the fans glared at me as they came in.

I turned to Klavier, "I'll be in your dressing room while you finish up here. I love you." He smiled, "I love you too, fraulein." With that, I went to his dressing room. Once inside, I locked the door. I sat on the sofa and decided to look at some gossip news. An article turned up on the first tab. The title read 'Rockstar Klavier Gavin Does Drugs At Party? A Closer Insight.' I tapped on the article and read it.

Rockstar Klavier Gavin was photographed at bandmate Daryan Crescend's house party, seemingly taking an unknown substance from Crescend himself!

Many speculate this to be drugs. From far away, it resembles cocaine or methamphetamine.

When Gavin was questioned by paparazzi outside of the party, he denied any drug involvement. He claimed that the unnamed substance was nothing more than migraine medication.

Tune into next week's article for more information on this shocking incident concerning one of the industry's most popular celebrity!

I closed the article and sat there, not knowing what to think. I hadn't gone with Klavier to that party because I was really sick that day. He also never told me about any migraine medication. I sighed and closed the article up, deciding to pass it off as nothing more than a rumor.

About 20 minutes later, there was a knock at the door, "Fraulein, can you open the door?" I stood and unlocked the door. Klavier came inside and shut the door behind himself. He sat in front of the mirror, straightening himself out. I spoke up, "Do you ever think about what your life would be like if you weren't a rockstar?"

He looked at me, "I don't know, fraulein. But before this, I was through with standing in lines to clubs I'd never get into. It was like the bottom of the ninth and I was never going to win. My life hadn't turned out quite the way I wanted it to be." I nodded. Soon, we headed home.

After that concert, Klavier went to more and more parties. I opted to stay at home, not wanting to deal with all the crazy, drunk people. More articles came out. These featured Daryan's parties with playboy bunny looking girls in every photo. In some of them, Klavier looked stoned out of his mind. In others, he looked plastered. During all of this, Klavier had wrote a new song for the band called 'Rockstar'. We were at the studio, preparing for the song's first recording.

The band stepped into the recording booth. The beat started up as Klavier opened his mouth to sing.

This wasn't like anything I'd ever heard from the band before. Their songs were classic bad boy melodies. This was not a bad boy song. This was a 'my career is going downhill fast so I'm going to sing about what it used to be like' song. This was a result of all of the partying and presumably his drug use since the partying began. I decided to do some snooping. Klavier lets me use his phone, so I grabbed it first. I opened up his text messages.

There were the ones from me, the rest of the band, and Daryan. I read through the band's messages first. Nothing of interest came up in those messages. I opened the messages to Daryan. I scrolled through them, my brow furrowing. They started off simple. They were things like 'Concert rehearsal at 5:00' or 'Hey, what's up?' Then, more recent text messages came up. They were things such as 'I've got your "stuff". See you at the party.' And 'I really need this. Thanks.'

Two in particular caught my eye.

'When are you going to tell (Y/n)?'

'I'm not going to tell her. She can't know. Ever.'

I closed out of the messages and put his phone back where I got it from. I snuck out of the studio and got a taxi to our house. I went up to our room and started packing. I couldn't stay in a relationship like this. I couldn't believe that I was so oblivious to this.

Well, not anymore.

I don't want to watch him throw his life away.

I don't want to be the one to find out about his overdose on the news.

I don't want to watch him kill himself.

So I need to go.

I might come back if he gets his life together.

I don't know.

I zip up my suitcase and roll it down the stairs. I look around the house one last time before heading outside. I call a taxi and it arrives within 10 minutes. I put my suitcase in the trunk and get into the taxi. As the taxi drives away, I watch as the house becomes a speck on the horizon.

Just as we turn the corner, I see Klavier's car pull into the driveway.
