This is volume 2 to my first Ace Attorney One Shots Book!
If you haven't read that book yet, you should go read it because certain chapters will not make sense if you don't!
Thank you!
I stood in front of the mirror, watching my mother and friends scurry around, preparing me and everything else. My mother handed my bouquet to me, "You look beautiful." A tear slipped from her eye. I smiled, "Don't cry! You'll make my cry." One of my friends spoke up, "Don't your dare ruin my masterpiece!" We all laughed.
Today was my wedding day.
I was going to be marrying the love of my life.
I looked in the mirror one last time.

I was so happy. I turned to my mother, "I'm ready." My mother nodded and led me out of the room, my friends in front of us. We met up with the groomsmen halfway there. The groomsmen were Edgeworth and Phoenix while Apollo was the best man. For some reason, Apollo looked nervous. I shrugged it off. We all stopped right before the venue. My friends, who were my bridesmaids, paired up with the groomsmen, while my best friend, who was my maid of honor, paired up with Apollo.
Unfortunately, my father couldn't be here, but my mother would walk me instead. I looked towards the venue.

It was absolutely beautiful. I linked arms with my mother. The music started and the groomsmen and bridesmaids started walking down. Soon enough, I followed after. That's when I noticed it. It stuck out a lot.
Klavier was not standing at the altar.
I got to the altar and stood there, waiting. I bit my lip, thinking, 'He's probably just late. He'll be here.' The music had stopped and everyone was chattering amongst themselves. Some of them looked at me with pity. I took a deep breath. I stood there, waiting.
I waited for him for almost 30 minutes. Apollo, Phoenix, and Edgeworth were whispering to each other. I turned to them, "What are you whispering about? Where is Klavier?" Apollo looked at me, an expression of uncertainty on his face. He spoke, "I'm sorry, but, Klavier isn't coming." I froze, "W-What do you mean? Of course he's coming. He has to." Apollo shook his head, "He just texted me. He said he isn't coming." I swallowed, dropping my bouquet.
He left me at the altar.
Everyone's attention was on me. I collapsed to the ground, sobbing. Everyone looked at me with pity.
I hated it.
I stayed crying on the ground as everyone, excluding my friends and mother, left. My mother helped me stand, "Come on, let's get you home and out of this dress. The venue owners and vendors were nice enough to give us full refunds on everything." I stayed silent as I followed my mother to the car. Once in the car, my mother placed my purse next to me. I grabbed my phone and went to my texts, pulling up Klavier's contact.
I scrolled through the messages, each one from him talking about how excited he was for the wedding. I sighed quietly. Was it all an act? Did he even love me to begin with? I decided to text him one last time.
I hope you're happy with your decision. At least the next time you leave someone at the altar, it won't be me. Goodbye.
With that, I sent it and blocked his number. I deleted all of my social media and blocked him on everything else. I put my phone back in my purse. I leaned my head against the window, tears rolling down my face silently.
Today was supposed to be what I've always dreamed of.
