Your Pov:

I sat in our room, setting up my prank. I was kind of nervous for this one, but Simon made it worse, because he kept bringing up how suspicious I was acting. The basis for this prank was to make him think I was texting my ex. I sent a conversation to my phone from a burner I bought. Then, I plugged it up downstairs, next to where Simon did his work. I kissed his cheek before I went back upstairs.

I sent a text from the burner phone saying 'Can't wait to see you. Love you xx' Then I waited. A few minutes later, I heard a chair scrape on the floor and footsteps coming up the stairs. I took a deep breath and acted like I was watching TV. The door opened and Simon came in with my phone in hand. He looked mad. Very mad. He spoke, "Would you mind explaining this to me?" I spoke, "My phone? What about it?" He scoffed.

"Your ex. Why are you speaking to them?" I looked away from him, "We're just talking." He spoke sharply, "Look me in the eye and tell me that." I kept looking away because I was trying to not laugh. He dropped my phone on the bed, "They said they loved you. Do you love them?" I bit my lip, "No. I only love you Simon."

He shook his head, "Clearly not, but at least we're equal now." My jaw dropped, "W-What?!" He nodded, "I cheated on you two weeks ago. I was...unfaithful." Without thinking, I slapped him. His head turned to the side. A red handprint began to appear on his cheek. I spoke softly, "I was pranking you Simon! I never texted my ex. I used a burner phone to text myself. How could you?!"

He looked at me, a faint smirk on his face, "It's easier to flip the script than you think, isn't it?" I paused, "...You knew I was pranking you?!" He nodded, "It was very obvious love. Going upstairs and then getting a text not even a minute later? Too easy." I bit my lip, "So, you didn't cheat on me?" He shook his head, "I did not. It was all a very well done prank."

I huffed, "You scared me!" I stood up and whistled for Taka. He came and perched on my shoulder. I petted him, "Come on Taka. Let's go for a walk. Your father needs to think about what he did." Simon whistled for Taka, but Taka refused to move. I smiled, "I'll be back later Simon."

A/N: I have finally finished Dual Destinies today! I cried like a baby towards the end! I was so happy when they removed Simon's shackles. And the scene where he was watching the rocket launch made me tear up. Dual Destinies was so good to me! However, I was spoiled on Fulbright's character. Because someone sent me a request a while back stating 'Do Fulbright, and I mean not the phantom...'

Still, I thoroughly enjoyed this one! I'm now on a Simon Blackquill chapter run, so if you have requests for him, please let me know!
