Hopeless (Simon Keyes x Regina's Sister! Reader)

Your Pov:

I walked through the prison halls with Regina. Today was the day for the animal circus, but it was also Valentine's Day. Regina decided that we'd be doing a dance to a romantic song as well. To help with that, she brought along Max and Bat.

(In this Bat woke up from his Coma!)

Max was my partner and Bat was Regina's. Regina looked at me as we entered the yard, "Are you alright? You don't have to perform if-" I cut her off, "No. I can do it. I'm fine." After that, we started setting up for the performance. When we got done with that, I went behind the stage to change into my costume.

I loved it

I loved it. It was so beautiful. I stepped out from behind the stage and that's when I saw him.

Simon Keyes.

Before I found out about what he did, we were a couple. Everyone thought we'd be together forever, but they were wrong. He sat with a few other inmates at a table. Wrapped around his arm was a Kapuas Mud snake. He looked at me. Regina put a hand on my shoulder and I looked at her.

"I'm fine. I won't let him ruin the performance. Now, let's get on stage."

She nodded and followed me to the stage. Max and Bat were off stage in the wings, waiting for their cues. We took our spots on stage.

Then, the music started.

I put a smile on my face and started dancing. I spun and leapt, acting lovesick when I wanted nothing more than to curl up and die at that moment.

Then, we walked to the opposite sides of the stage, bringing in Max and Bat. We walked to the middle, where I handed Bat off to Regina and she handed off Max to me.

We did a quick turn sequence and then separated as the boys had their segment behind us. The big part was coming up. The boys turned to us. Regina and I leapt into their arms, the middle of our backs resting on their shoulder. They spun us around. Mid spin, I locked eyes with Simon again.

He looked a bit irritated.

(The dance is like the ensemble dance for Helpless!)

They put us down for the small slight rap segment. After that, we did a few more spins and moved into the wedding sequence. Regina and I placed some veils on each other, me almost dropping it on the way. We went back to our partners and held their hands. This was the part I dreaded the most. My arms were wrapped around Max's neck. Regina and I mouthed the lyrics to the song.

"Helpless..."

She reached up, kissing Bat full on the mouth. In that moment I decided to give Simon a little taste of his own medicine. I leaned up, kissing Max right on the lips. The crowd cheered.

We took our bows and walked off the stage. Just as I walked around the back of the stage, I felt a hand grab my wrist and drag me around the back, into the shaded area.

I turned, spotting Simon. I yanked my wrist back, "What do you want?" He looked at me, not saying a word.

(He looks like his evil mastermind look minus the clown get up)

I huffed, "If you have nothing to say to me, I'll just call the guard." He moved a hand under my chin, tilting it up, "You've changed quite a bit, princess."

(That 'Princess' is sarcastic and endearing.)

I frowned, "So what? I'm not that chained up little person still in love with you anymore." He scoffed, "Are you now? Too busy with that flying freak, huh?" I crossed my arms, "That's none of your business." His hand left my chin, pushing me back towards the stone fountain. My back made contact with the stone.

He smirked, "You don't want to admit it, but you still love me. I know it. Isn't that right, princess?" I shook my head, "N-No, I don't. You lost me the moment I found out you were a killer!" Suddenly, his lips were on mine. I froze in shock. Then, I kissed him back as if my body was on autopilot. One of my hands tangled in his hair, pulling him closer.

I snapped out of it, pushing him away, "Stop playing with my feelings Simon. You don't love me. You love the chase, the thrill, the feel of it all." He looked at me, "What if I said I loved you? That my feelings weren't a lie?" I shook my head, "You've lied to everyone else. What makes me any different?" He huffed, "I'm not good at this sappy crap, but, as long as I'm alive (Y/n), I swear to God you'll never feel so helpless." I smiled.

"Really? That song? That is super sappy. I'm surprised." He looked at me, "So?" I sighed, "Fine, but only on one condition." He tilted his head, "What?" I gestured to my sister and the other inmates, "No body needs to know. Besides us." He nodded.

"Fine by me."

I smiled, "Now, you should get going before the guard notices you're gone." He kissed me, "Come visit me soon. It's so boring being on the other side of the bars." Then, he was gone.

I changed out of my costume and got back into my regular clothes. I met up with Regina in the front as everything got packed up. She looked at me, "Are you helpless again?" I looked at her, "What do you mean?" She smiled, "You're blushing and have that dreamy smile on your face." I snuck a glance at Simon. I shook my head.

"No. I'm still hopeless, Regina..."
