Bittersweet (Kristoph x Prosecutor! Reader)

Your Pov:
I stood at the bench, glaring at the defense attorney on the other side of the court room. We had been in here for hours and I was losing my patience. I spoke up, "Your honor, the prosecution has definitive evidence that Mrs. Hamilton did indeed kill her husband." The judge spoke, "And just what is this 'definitive evidence'?"
I presented a dagger, some ripped letters in a bag, and the autopsy report. I continued, "The murder weapon, this dagger, was analyzed for fingerprints. The results show that Mrs. Hamilton's fingerprints match those on the murder weapon. There was also a ripped up letter found at the scene. The lab was able to piece the letter back together."
I took a deep breath, "It reads as follows: 'Dearest Sister, I don't think I can stand to be around him much longer. What he has done has ruined my life. I think that my life would be easier if he was gone. I refuse to be in the same room as him. I think it's time to put an end to this once and for all.'
I read off the autopsy report, "The victim died from 12 stab wounds to the chest on November 1st in his home. The letter is dated for October 29th. The letter was confirmed as received and read on the 31st of October by the defendant's sister as said in earlier testimony. This gives a motive and the timing matches almost exactly." The judge nodded, "I see your point Ms. (Y/n)." He turned to the defense attorney, "What are your thoughts on this, Mr. Gavin?"
Kristoph spoke, "What do I think, your honor? I think the prosecution's entire explanation is just pointless rambling." Everyone in the gallery gasped. He continued, "Yes, the letter was sent before November 1st and it does include the line 'I think it's time to put an end to this once and for all' but that doesn't prove the defendant murdered the victim. As for the fingerprints, what wife wouldn't pull the knife out of her husband's body so that she could save him?"
The judge sighed, "With the amount of evidence and testimony presented before me, I think this trial will need another day to continue clearly. I ask that both sides look further into this case, understood?" I nodded, "Yes your honor." Kristoph looked up, "Of course, your honor." Court let out after that. I headed out to the lobby, my satchel slung over my shoulder.
I heard someone speak from behind me, "I do hope you try to find a better explanation. Your last was...lacking for lack of a better term." I turned around, glaring daggers into Kristoph, "Yours wasn't much better, Mr. Perfection! 'Save the victim' my left foot!" He sighed, "I think they have muzzles for women like you. You're beautiful to look at, but irritating to listen to." I frowned, "Sexist pig."
After that, I left. I couldn't stand to be around him for much longer.
The next day, the court proceedings went smoothly. I managed to get my guilty verdict. I walked out of the court room feeling better than ever. Then, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to see Kristoph. I sighed, "What do you want?" He looked at me, "I wanted to congratulate you on your win. Would you like to go for drinks?" I looked at him suspiciously, "What do you want? You aren't ever this nice to me." He spoke, "Think of it as an apology. Treating a beautiful woman to celebratory drinks sounds perfect, doesn't it?" I smiled, "Fine. Let's go."
We went out for drinks at a fancy bar and I had a really good time. We laughed and joked around a bit. I slowly started to feel my dislike for him fade away. Every time he complemented me or called me beautiful, I blushed like a schoolgirl. At the end of the night, he drove me home. We stood at my front door.
I spoke, "Thanks again for this. I had a really good time." He nodded, "Of course. I enjoyed myself as well. Maybe we could go out again." I smiled, "I look forward to it. Good night." I leaned forward and kisses his cheek before heading inside. I closed the door behind me, feeling my heart pounding in my chest.
I think I like him...
