Company (Lang x Reader)

A/N: I've only gotten to the beginning of the last case so if I miss something or don't add something about Lang, don't spoil it!

Your Pov:

I stood outside the two country's embassies. My dog, King, stood next to me. We were here for a national competition. King had been trained alongside K-9 police dogs. Suddenly, King started to growl. He was looking behind me. I felt a hand on my shoulder. Then, King lunged at the person behind me, growling and snarling. I turned to see King on top of a light haired brunette man. I called King, "King, release!" King backed off the man and returned to my side. The man stood up, dusting his clothes off.

"Strong dog. You can tell he's well taken care of." I nodded, "He's all muscle. Started training him when he was a puppy. He outranks even the most trained police K-9s." He grinned, "We actually have a K-9 on the scene right now. Care to test your theory?" I smirked, "I'd be honored." I attached King's lead to his harness and followed the man into the embassy. He looked over his shoulder, "By the way, call me Lang." I nodded. We eventually arrived in a room with a man in a red suit and a few other people. Lang turned to me.

"Does he know cues for evidence recovery?" I nodded, letting King off the leash, "King, find the evidence." A woman with another K-9 spoke, "Missile, search." The two dogs started to go around the room. King stopped at the fireplace and pulled something out from it. He walked over to me. I knelt down and gently took it from him, "Good boy, King." King barked and sat down. I turned to Lang, "Looks like King found a... lady's undershirt?" It was handed off to the man in the red suit. Lang looked at us.

He kneeled in front of King and held out his hand for King to smell. King sniffed it before nuzzling into his hand. I smiled. Lang started to pet him, "You're a good boy King." He stood up and turned to me, "You ever think of getting King into the force? Or joining together as partners?" I shrugged, "I've never really thought about it, since, you know, the cops here are less than useful." He nodded.

"Yeah. I know. But, you could partner up with me and my team." I smiled, "I suppose I could. When do I start?" He smirked, "Since you're here, let's say now." I nodded. He turned to a pale, white haired woman, "Shih-Na, can you give (Y/n) the spare outfit? She's a new pack member starting today." He attached King to his leash and King sat. The woman nodded and another officer handed her a bag that she handed to me, "Here. Go change." I went to the room nextdoor and got changed into the outfit.

(Love this character btw!)

Along with the outfit, there was a gun and thigh holster. I had fired a gun before, so I wasn't nervous. I slipped the holster on and put the gun into the holster and checked myself one more time. I opened the door and stepped outside. Lang was right outside. I cleared my throat, "I'm ready. Where's King?" He turned to me, "He's with...Shih-Na..." I nodded. He spoke, "Anyways, our mission right now, is to investigate the murder of Masque De Masque II. We have a possible suspect that needs questioning." I smiled, "Of course."

He continued, "I think Shih-Na may have some competition for her position. If you do well, that is." I nodded, "I won't let you down." He smirked, "Good. Now let's go. I want to see what you're made of."
