A/N: Angel AU! Everyone is born either an angel or a demon. Fallen angels happen when an angel becomes corrupt. Angels can only be with other angels. Wings are not visible unless needed.
Your Pov:
I walked down towards my new job. I had gotten a job as a secretary in the prosecutor's office. I heard that my childhood friend, Miles Edgeworth, worked there. When we were children, his wings were some of the brightest and whitest I'd ever seen.
I entered the office and followed the directions I was given. I arrived in front of a private office. I knocked on the door. A voice called out, "Come in." I stepped inside. There, at the desk, was Miles. Something about his aura had changed though. He spoke, "You're here for the job, yes?" I nodded, "Yes. But, don't you remember me?" He looked at me, "Remember you?" I frowned.
"It's me, (Y/n)." He paused, "...I knew it had to be you. I thought I was only imagining it." After that, we got to work and caught up with each other.
2 months later...
I had gotten very close to Miles since I started my job. Today, I was running a bit late. Without knocking, I entered the office. I froze in shock. Miles had his wings out. They were no longer just white. The top halves turned an oily black. The feathers in the middle were a stormy grey and only a few white feathers were spared.

I gasped, "Y-You...no..." He quickly retracted his wings, "You shouldn't have seen that..." I shook my head, "Y-You've fallen. How? Why?!" He looked away, "You of all people should know why." He continued, "Von Karma corrupted me. I ignored the signs and my wings were ruined. Nothing can fix them. I've tried."
In that instant my whole world collapsed. I spoke shakily, "But...I love you..." He looked at me, "You can't. I am not good enough for someone like you." I bit my lip, "Tell me, do you love me?" He bowed his head, "Yes. I do." We stood there in silence for a while. I sighed and extended my wings, making them visible. They were a pure, bright white.

He spoke, "Still as beautiful as I remember." I blushed. I stepped closer, wrapping my wings around him, resting them on his own. I could feel him start to tremble. After a few minutes, I pulled away. He slowly extended his wings again, "H-How?"
The black had disappeared, leaving only grey and white in it's place. I smiled, "You let yourself love someone and give love in return. Those that have fallen can still be saved." I continued, "You are not completely an angel again, but as long as I love you, they'll become white again." I winced before collapsing.
Miles kneeled next to me, "(Y/n)!" I smiled through the pain, "I-I'm fine. The corruption...had to go somewhere..." I felt more pain shoot through my back and into my wings. He held my hand tightly, "I don't want you to go through what I have with this corruption-" He stopped when I let out a loud scream. Then, the pain subsided, leaving a faint throb in my wings and back. My wings came out on their own, making my back throb.
Miles stared at them. I got up slowly, turning towards the mirror. My once pure white wings had changed. They had thinned and darkened. Instead of feeling weightless, I felt heavy and chained down. But I wouldn't take it back. Not now. Not ever. Miles spoke.
