Drake POV

Night after night, I prowled the woods of the Nightmare pack, always just a whisper away from their border. As the Alpha of the North, I had no business here, yet something kept me tethered to this enemy territory. I wasn't sure what I was searching for, but I knew I'd find it soon enough.

The pack house was bustling, a large gathering in full swing. Hundreds had come from miles around to celebrate, blissfully unaware of the chaos about to unfold. An explosion shattered their revelry, sending the pack into a frenzy but I remained hidden in the shadows as a silent observer.

Three unknown wolves crept from the woods, stalking six women around a fire. I watched, uninterested in their fate but curious about the attackers' audacity. The Nightmare pack was the strongest in the South; only fools would challenge them.

Then, a scent hit me. A rich, sweet, scent with a burst of citrus and a hint of honey vanilla. My wolf stirred, an undeniable pull drawing me toward it. My mate was here, in this cursed territory. A woman destined to destroy me and my brothers.

A growl rumbled through me as I watched her. She stood defiant, ready to protect her people despite the overwhelming odds. My wolf wanted to claim her, to drag her away, but I fought against the urge. She was dangerous, a potential downfall, yet my instincts screamed to make her mine.

I turned my fury on the other wolves, ending them swiftly and brutally. When her voice reached my ears, commanding and powerful, I wanted to hear more, to dominate that strength. But the distraction was short-lived.

One of the wolves snapped at her dress, and my vision turned red. My wolf erupted, propelling me forward. I rammed the wolf, killing it instantly. Standing over the lifeless body, I locked eyes with her. She was a goddess, and I was her dark guardian.

With a final, lingering look, I forced myself to retreat. I needed to get back to my brothers, back to the club where I could lose myself in a meaningless distraction.

Inside, a petite blonde awaited, fear etched on her face. "Don't speak," I commanded. "Kneel."

She obeyed, trembling before me as I undid my belt, my body a live wire of tension and anger.

"Suck my dick," I ordered, my voice a guttural snarl. She complied, and I closed my eyes, imagining my mate's face instead. The fantasy only intensified my need. My hand tightened in her hair, my hips thrusting violently.

"You're mine!" I shouted, lost in a haze of lust and rage. The pressure built until I exploded, a guttural roar tearing from my throat. But it wasn't enough. My wolf demanded more. He demanded our mate, marked and claimed.

Pushing the woman away, I roared at her to leave. The battle inside me raged on. "We need our mate," my wolf growled. "She is ours."

"She will betray us," I warned. "We can't be close to her."

But my wolf was relentless. I stormed back to my brothers, frustration boiling over. "Do you have a plan?" I demanded from River.

"Our Beta friend came through," he replied, a wicked grin spreading. "Let's go."

My other brother, Chase, smirked at me, ever the instigator. "Someone's extra horny today."

"Shut up!" I snapped, grabbing him by the shirt. He laughed, unphased. The bond between us was strong; we were triplets, one soul split into three.

They didn't know about her. I couldn't bring myself to share the truth. The storm inside me was mine alone to weather. We had a mission: to conquer the South. Only then would I claim my mate, whatever the cost.

I didn't know what I would do with her. Fuck her, kill her, tie her up to satisfy my horny wolf day and night. There were so many things I wanted and needed, and it was already driving me insane.
