Drakes POV

This entire situation was fucked up. For ten years, I lived in the shadows, not caring for much that went on around me. I closed myself off so I could hide from all the fucked bullshit that happened in this world, that happened to me. Now, my eyes were open, my heart pumping for one damn little Luna, and I was a mess.

I agreed with both of my brothers; we needed to worship Kiera and keep her away from us. It was impossible to do both.

'The Alphas from the South are here.' River snarled at me through our mind link. Chase beat me to ask about that Alpha I can't wait to get my hands on. Unfortunately, Jackson was still hiding in the South. Soon, his end will come. We all owed that to Kiera.

Walking into the grand hall, I let out a dark growl. Only three Alphas stood before me. There were thirteen residing in the Nightmare pack.

"One chance!" I spoke the second I came to their disgraceful faces. "Submit or die."

River and Chase came beside me, lending me their power to show we weren't playing around.

"We came to talk about peace. We mean no disrespect or wish to fight." One of the men stepped forward. He had an air of arrogance, sharp blue eyes, and perfect posture. Looked like someone River would get along with.

"The next words out of your mouth need to be, I submit, or my brothers and I start tearing out your throats," I replied, my eyes darkening.

The man looked at the other Alphas, and they nodded to each other. "Submit." He said with his head high, like he was somehow keeping his dignity.

I didn't like a single Alpha from the South. In my eyes, they were just another Jackson. Manipulative little weasels using their packs as pawns to make them fake kings.

"If I may speak?" A young woman approached, walking straight to Chase, making me growl at him. I'm sure she was one of his toys, and now, she thought she had some pull over us.

Chase smiled mischievously at the woman, earning a growl from both River and me this time.

'No games!' I warned him in our mind link.

'Life is no fun without games, brothers.' Chase wittily replied. I was seconds from strangling him.

"Katherine, it's so good to see your adorable face again. I take it you have a full report for me?" He asked her.

"Yes, Alpha. I also briefed these men on our arrangements on the way here. They know what life you offer them, and they accept denouncing their titles of Alpha to their packs. To be honest, they have very few survivors anyway. They just wish to have a chance to live." The woman spoke confidently, but I didn't like her personality. She seemed too slimy.

Chase turned to Elizabeth. "No issues on the transport?"

"None, Alpha. It's the first time we had zero casualties, and I believe that credit is owed to Katherine. She kept her people calm and convinced them to come quietly." Elizabeth vouched for this girl.

"I only wish to please my new Alphas and, hopefully, become part of the Northerner packs." Katherine fluttered her long eyelashes at Chase. She definitely thought she had a chance at being his Luna, and she was sorely mistaken.

"In time. You did good with this assignment, and it won't be without reward." Chase praised her.

"Thank you, Alpha." Katherine respectfully bowed her head to him.

I let out an annoyed sigh. This was all too... anticlimactic for me. I was rooting for a bit of blood today.

"Since that is settled, Elizabeth, please escort these men to my side of the housing. They are to be monitored by a Delta team at all times. For the first week, they will have little privileges." River looked at each man, gauging if any showed defiance, but not a single one did.
