A/N: Experiment! Your opinion matters! I used to write the "recaps" in 3rd pov for my other story - however, at first, this didn't make sense for this story. Buuut I adjusted some things and now it does and I thought I'd give it a shot. Please, let me know what you prefer? C:

Another few days passed by. Chigyou kept his promise to you. You received medicine in the form of pills and no suppressants were mixed into the dinner provided for you. He took ahold of the situation and you genuinely believed that he could be the one helping you gain a voice when the entire world was against you. The last actual test he put you through was a day after your MRI scan, just like he announced. All you had to do was wear a cap that was catching all your brains activity and sending it to a computer while he asked various quite private questions concerning yourself. He informed you that he would check on your brain's reaction to certain questions and then conclude what exactly was wrong with you. For now, you were given antidepressants.

And they helped.. Slightly, but they helped! However, they did not ease your longing for your lover. The worry of what might've happened to Renji became more apparent with every passing hour. Though you were reassured that he was okay, you still needed to see him. You mentioned it to Chigyou as you went to a test Kanou insisted on, two days after your last "test". In reply, he told you that he'd have to speak to you in private before a meet-up could be arranged but he'd have to postpone it for another day. Not having any other choice, you agreed on it. Kanou's test aimed for samples of your kakuhous. Since Chigyou was not around for this test, he went back to his threatening behavior, making sure to scare you in as many ways as possible. There was no use in resisting, you let him take as many samples as he needed. To reach your kakuhous, he stuck a needle into your back and pulled some substance out of it. The process made you cringe and cry from pain at the same time. But you pushed through, always imagining a life with Renji once this was all over. He was your motivation, your reason to go on. That he could possibly hate you, was no longer on your mind. You tried to focus on the positive aspects of seeing him again.

Another day flew by and it was time to meet with Chigyou again for some important talk. Amon picked you up as he usually did and brought you to Chigyou's office. You were excited for what he had to say, yet a little anxious because he emphasized having to have a private talk as much. But you tried to believe that he was a good person, someone that wouldn't try to hurt you randomly.

And you were supposed to be proven right.

"Aaah, good morning. Come in and have a seat, (Y/N)" Chigyou greeted me with a warm smile.

Amon held the door open for me while I walked inside and slowly walked over to Chigyou's desk. As usual, he was sitting behind his desk, looking at notes or his computer while he waited for me to sit down in front of him.

In sync to the door closing, I sat down in front of him.

"Good morning" I spoke as I returned the smile.

"Does your back still hurt?"

"It's okay.." I shrugged it off, it actually didn't hurt anymore at all.
