Lunatic

My heart was racing, my breathing quickened.

In one swift motion, I turned around and punched the guy right in the face. Much to my delight, he flew against a nearby wall.. I somehow must've used more pressure than I intended to. But I wasn't done yet. I stepped closer to him, preparing to beat the living shit out of him.

For the first time ever since I was 16, I didn't feel like I had to let them touch me, had to suffer through it. Instead, I knew I could stand up for myself. It was no one I knew, no one that had power over me - like Renji. It was a complete stranger that dared to touch me. I wanted him to pay for it. There was little to no power left in me from being sleep deprived and constantly worried about Ryuu but there was no way I'd let someone touch me ever again. Not unless I wanted that person to touch me and allowed it.

The man in front of me was lanky, very thin, short black hair and sunken cheeks. He looked sick and suddenly very scared.

"Don't you fucking touch me, asshole" I groaned, frowning deeply, lunging back to hurt him.

"You're such an idiot, Torso" some male voice said, his voice coming from the doorframe to my left.

Immediately turning my head towards the male, I saw that he was holding Ryuu. My heart stopped and my breathing hitched.

"Let go of my son" I gulped hard, my hands forming fists.

The male had blue hair.. Dark blue hair. Something about him was familiar but I had no idea who he was. As out eyes met and he grinned at me while he firmly held my son, I felt like I was about to burst from rage. Ryuu cried, whined through his closed mouth. The male forced a binky in his mouth who kept him quiet.

He had been through so much, I didn't want him to suffer through any kind of abuse. It was my duty as his mother to protect him from all evil.

"You still own your first born to Kanou" he raised one of his eyebrows, grinning as he ran his free hand through Ryuu's hair.

I shook my head rapidly, my eyes switching between Ryuu and the male. Kanou was locked into some kind of jail - it made out contract invalid.. for now.

"Nonsense. Now hand over Ryuu or I'm going to -" I began to threaten the familiar stranger while I stepped closer, but he cut me off.

"One step closer and I'll break his neck" the male firmly gripped upon Ryuu's head while I approached him.

Of course, I stopped in my tracks - I couldn't risk his life.

Where the fuck is Renji when you need him?!

"It's a boy, right?" the male asked, taking a closer look at Ryuu, "Fairly worthless. But I'm sure we could use something to toy with.. And someday we'll eat him. Half-ghouls are rare, a delicacy not many get to taste."

They're ghouls. They must be from the Aogiri Tree then..
