Hallucinations

The evening and night were eerily quiet. Ryuu slept beside you, only woke up every few hours - much to your surprise.

That night he was also a lot calmer - even though he was still screaming like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, it just wasn't as bad as it normally was. Most times he woke up, he was hungry. So you, of course, fed him.

While you two were sleeping, Renji and Koutarou discussed your behavior. They were convinced you were in need of a day off. Not just Renji taking over Ryuu for a day while you were still at home, no; an actual day off at a different place, away from Ryuu. They both believed you were too worried about your son, too deep into the "he's going to die" theory which would sooner or later destroy you. They thought you forgot yourself, your own needs, let yourself go. Especially because you forgot to take your pills. That took your credibility.

On the other hand, you were convinced that what you saw was the reality, that it really happened. It didn't seem like a dream, a hallucination and you felt ridiculed, far from taken seriously. It surely upset you that they even had the guts to talk about you behind your back - and you didn't even know they discussed your behavior for quite some hours after that.

To you, your son was in danger. To Koutarou and Renji, you were in danger.

Renji even came to check on you in the middle of the night, catching you comforting your son. He only watched you from afar, judged the way you acted with your son, and wished you a good night.

This went on for days.

They both kept giving you weird glances. Koutarou even tried to speak to you about taking stronger medication. Renji watched over every move you made and continuously reminded you to take your pills. In a way, you felt like a little kid that needed to be watched over. But they only wanted what was best for you.

Aside from that, Renji also tried to do more with and for Ryuu. Sometimes he even took him away from you - wanting to give you alone time which you didn't want. It all led to small fights. They had their opinion, you had yours. It wasn't like anyone yelled, no one did, it was a calm conversation. But it still offended you that they thought you were going crazy.

The more everyone spoke about it, the worse it got. They never joked about it but told Chigyou about it, which came up in the following therapy lesson. Three people ended up believing you were insane. And Ryuu didn't understand why he didn't spend as much time with his mother anymore.

Of course, you didn't let them take him away, you often went and got him or interrupted them playing. This was your son too.

The peak was reached as you lived through a similar scenario. It was late at night, you were sleeping next to Ryuu again but suddenly a man pinned you down onto the bed covered your mouth and blatantly tried to force your pants off. All the while you were sleeping next to your now awoken son. You were hyperventilating entirely forced down onto the bed and your pants even found their way onto the floor. Luckily, you managed to somehow send the guy off of you, sending him flying right onto the ground. But as you looked to your left, Ryuu was gone. Panicking, you wanted to scream and run towards Renji who was only two doors away, but before you could even lift your feet onto the ground, a fist flew your way, hitting your eye harshly. Seconds later something hard hit the back of your head, making you fall forward onto the floor. Another impact that hurt.
