"Good morning" a young lady greeted me.
My eyes met hers but I didn't reply to her kindness.
Seat..
Looking around for a place to sit down at, I chose a small table near a window.
Good one, such a nice view..
Not many people were around at this time, though a few entered to grab a coffee to go.
Only another couple and I were actually sitting inside at this time, most customers were probably at work or school.
The atmosphere was really calming, making my body relax into the chair.
I tended to tense up when I was on my own - even if only for a few seconds - but this place felt like.. A second home. Maybe that was because it was related to Renji.
"Can I get you something to drink?" she asked, making me flinch as I hadn't noticed her coming over.
Oh, it's just the waitress..
"Oh, I apologize, I seem to have scared you." she immediately began to apologize.
In return, I just shook my head to let her know that it was okay.
"So what can I get you?"
Taking the menu I started flipping through it until I found the page that contained the drinks, then I pointed to the coffee.
Obviously annoyed but still trying to act nice and patient, she wrote down that I wanted a coffee.
"Anything else?"
"N..-no" I stuttered.
"Alright, I'll be right back with your order"
Once she was gone I turned my attention back to the window, the view out of it.
The weather was quite sunny for mid-September, not too many clouds, no rain in sight and it was not stormy at all. For some reason, it was a little cold, though.
Whenever I stared into the sky I liked to pretend that Renji was right here with me as some sort of spirit, something I couldn't see. It always resulted in me missing him. That was pretty much the only thing I felt, probably because it made my heart ache. Everything else didn't affect me anymore.
To ease my heart, I reached out for the ring that was hanging around my neck on a necklace and rubbed it gently. It made me feel connected to him in some way.
I was so lost in my thoughts, that I didn't even notice that the little doorbell rang as someone entered.
"Good timing, do you have a few minutes to spare?" the female waitress asked someone.
"You've lost a lot of weight, are you okay?" he asked in return.
Renji..?!
Is he here with me? - Are you here with me?
