Through our entire walk, we clung onto another. He held my hand firmly, yet delicately. We decided to pack some more clothes for the case it'd be too cold and also for the case we would decide to stay. Since it was still winter, it was bound to be fairly cold and we simply didn't want to get sick. But we wanted to make this a special occasion that we both wanted to enjoy, so we just settled for warmer clothing. It was indeed quite an intense walk, not nearly as short as I hoped it'd be. By the time we arrived, my feet were burning and most of my body was on fire. If anything, I wanted to rip off all my clothes to cool down but that was obviously not a good idea. And I honestly wasn't ready to show myself to Renji.. Naked. However, I did take off my jacket.
Although he had called me beautiful multiple times after Ren took over all those months ago, his words were still lingering on the back of my mind. It was too hard to forget. And that Renji once mocked my appearance wasn't helping this at all. - It's not like I felt too insecure about my body.. No, not anymore. I simply wasn't ready to let him see it, it'd feel rushed.
While we set up our resting spot - the spot with the best view of the stars - it, unfortunately, began to rain. We both ended up getting soaked while we unpacked our stuff and then ran towards a roofed place to hide, tightly holding on too all our belongings.
"Ugh, shit" I cursed beneath my breath, feeling my body temperature drop as a breeze hit my back.
Renji chuckled as he watched me; my wet hair dangling in my face, raindrops falling off of it's tips and onto my drained clothes while I pretended to be pouting. It wasn't quite the most pleasant experience to feel your clothes getting stuck to your body, covering it with a coat of wetness. But it was all good until the breeze cooled down a little too much. Shivers ran down my spine and then it hit me.
I'm not wearing a bra..
My eyes immediately wandered down to check if anything was poking through and.. Yes. Yes, my two little buds were standing proudly. With a blush creeping up on my face, I quickly covered my chest. Renji was busy checking on our extra clothing, he thankfully didn't notice yet.
"Eh.. Are my clothes in there fine? Could you give'em to me?" I asked, my embarrassment very much present in my voice.
"Unfortunately.. Not. Yours were on top, they're kind of wet, too. But I'll lend you mine" he explained, roaming through the bag to get his', "On the bright side, our blankets are fine."
"That'd be.. Neat" I stated, still staring down at my body only to realize that the clothes were nicely hugging every curve of my body.
If Renji wanted to see anything, he definitely could do so now.
"We don't have any towels either, do we?" I wondered as a raindrop rolled down my cheek.
"No.. But we could use that semi-wet shirt, then I'll go ahead and only wear the pants later when they're a little drier" he suggested, taking out the set of sleepwear he prepared for himself and giving it to me.
Hesitantly reaching out for it, making sure my nips were still covered, I saw his eyes wander down my body. It didn't even take another second before my blush increased.
