Usually, I would've been excited but right now, I was just suspicious of his attitude change and fairly worried, too. Admittedly, Renji's mood could change at lightning speed but this seemed a little too odd. He was too happy, too nice, too polite. And although he looked fine, he usually wouldn't have done that. Something was up. Something had to have caused this. ..Or perhaps Itori helped him pick a dress. The thought alone disgusted me. I didn't want her to be involved in our private life at all.

"Let me unlock the door real quick" Renji announced, letting go of my hand and immediately fumbling the keys out of his pants.

Watching him, I couldn't help but gulp. For a split second, this brought me back to how I tried to escape from him, how I looked for his keys while I was in so much indescribable pain.

Right, he always carries them in his pants..

The second he turned his keys around, the lock came undone and he slowly opened the door, I was greeted by a dimly lit, well-smelling atmosphere. Mildly bending forward and using his free hand to point towards the entrance, he gestured for me to walk in first.

"Thanks" I replied, quickly smiling at him before sneaking inside.

My eyes widened at what I saw. Severely spread candles were what lit up the room. Romantic music was quietly playing and the little table he had was covered with a white cloth, plates were resting on top of it along with silverware and a candelabra. He even cleaned up the room, put new bedding on, removed dirty clothes into our laundry basket. Needlessly to say, I was incredibly surprised. It sure was rare to see him do so much.

Glancing around the room, taking in all the changes, I also saw how he scattered rose petals all over the floor - and even on the bed. Knowing how rare flowers were down here, this meant a lot to me.

"I thought I'd set up a little something to apologize for my rude behavior" he explained, smiling while he walked in after me, "I hope you.. Like it."

Nodding, I turned my head to look at him: "I do, it looks amazing."

While I was still looking around the room, Renji snuck past me and pulled the chair out for me. Once I realized what he was doing, I was quick to catch up and sat down.

"Thanks" I thanked him again.

"You're welcome" he announced as he walked around the room, apparently looking for something.

So he's really trying to show he's feeling remorseful.. I guess.

"These are for you" he spoke softly, approaching me with a bouquet of roses in his hands.

"Awwh" I smiled, giggling a little as he held them out to me, "Thank you."

Chuckling, he sat down in front of me. A vase was already standing on the table - I must've missed it before.
