"What are you doing here?" I asked the tall man who entered my room while I turned on the light next to my bed.

"I heard you were going to spend Christmas alone.." Koutarou Amon simply replied as he put off his snow-covered jacket and hung it above a chair.

"Y-yeah.." I stuttered as I realized how sad it really was that I didn't spend it with Renji.

This could've been our second real Christmas together..

Memories of our happiness back then hit me like a truck, causing my heart to lower even further down into my stomach. To me, Christmas was never about getting gifts, it was about spending time with the ones you love. And right now it simply felt like no one loved me. And I had no one to love anymore.

"Don't you have family that's waiting for you?" I wondered as he ran a hand through his wet hair to remove the snow.

As much as I appreciated a visitor, I didn't want to cause trouble for him.

"No, do you mind my company?" he coldly replied before he sat down on a chair in front of my bad, next to the little table.

"N-not at all, I'm just a little surprised" I replied while I clutched onto the sheets, further covering up my clothed body.

Though I felt like I could trust him, since I had known him for a while, I still tensed up simply because he was a guy. A well-built, strong man. He could easily take advantage of me, especially in this situation. I had to be cautious. Or.. At least I felt like I had to be cautious.

"I'm sorry, I should've announced my visit" he apologized while he held onto a little plastic bag which he soon put on the table, next to the flowers.

"It's.. F-fine" I assured him, watching his every move.

His eyes were fixated on the flowers, scanning them, meanwhile, his hands were both forming fists, one clutching onto the plastic bag, one clutching onto his pants.

"Did Yomo get you those?"

"He did.." I mumbled, my gaze dropping to the floor.

"They're pretty" he added, his voice monotone, yet hinting a bit of anger towards Renji.

"Yes.. I guess.." I went on, sighing quietly.

"What he did was unacceptable. I'm sorry you had to experience this... again" he expressed his sympathy with a clear but warm voice, spreading kindness though his face was stoic.

Looking back up and at him, I saw his eyes were on me, softly gazing into my own. I didn't know what to say, so I simply nodded. That besides my nurses, my doctors and Renji others also knew about what had been done to me, was a bit concerning, humiliating even. I didn't want anyone to know that I had been used and abused, it made me feel weak.
