Julia was more than ready for the week to finally meet its end. She was completely exhausted by the confusing and controversial "spirituality" and mainly Christianity stint in the glee club, her condition regarding Marina, and her crush on Santana that unbearably intensified. One moment couldn't go by where her thoughts didn't revolve around her best friend or she wasn't reminding herself that she was an absolute simp and an idiot for it.

So, she was the last person who wanted to be tasked with gifting the injured quarterback this half-dead bouquet of flowers on behalf of the Cheerios. Yet it was a direct order from Sue which couldn't be avoided. Besides, she was practically asking for extra responsibility with her title as Head Cheerio.

Burt Hummel's hospital room was just on the level above, where a few glee club members had gathered for what was practically a church service for the unresponsive father. Julia had planned to meet Quinn up there afterward and grab some lunch together.

236, 237, 238

She counted the familiar room numbers as this was the only hospital in Lima she knew of. It was where she was born and had been treated for every major dance and cheer injury she had come up with. In fact, it was where she had received treatment just last week for her fractured wrist.

And despite popular opinion, Julia enjoyed hospitals as a child (though the smell sometimes made her scrunch up her nose in the way that toddlers did) since she hadn't been exposed to all the dark and horrible happenings throughout the building. She had simply viewed the hospital and ER as a place with nice and smart people who would assist her all while bringing her whatever food she desired.

And even later in life when she wasn't as naïve, she had no true problems with hospitals. Nothing too traumatic related to the ER had ever happened to her, and she honestly felt a bit safer surrounded by a bunch of doctors. It was probably one of the reasons she out of everyone on the cheerleading team had been chosen to deliver Sam Evans' flowers.

250, 251, 252

She had finally made it to room 253 which she was told was Sam's room number. She hoped it was Sam's room number since walking into some random patient's room was definitely not what her nor the patient needed right now.

Julia knocked against the already ajar door.

"Uh, Sam?"

"Yeah, that's me," his voice echoed throughout the mostly empty room before Julia took a small step inside.

"Hey, uh, I brought some flowers for you on behalf of the Cheerios. You played a really good game on Friday besides...you know..."

"Yeah, thanks," Sam smiled as Julia walked into the room, placing the bouquet on a bedside table.

"Oh, I'm Julia by the way."

"Yeah, I know. It's kinda weird seeing you without that cheerleading uniform on. You're the captain, right?"

"Yup, co-captain," Julia nodded.

"And you're in that glee club too, right?"

"Yeah, you stalking me or something?" Julia joked.

"No, no, you're just really popular and everyone on the football team is always talking about you and-"

"Good things, I hope."

"Great things," Sam grinned.

Julia didn't need any more information than that. By "great things" he clearly implied "sex things".

"Good," she mustered up a big smile.

"Yeah, and Layton says a whole lot about you too, he says you guys are going out."
