IMPORTANT A/N: The flashback toward the end of the chapter takes place right before the "Born This Way" number.  It'll make a lot more sense when you get to that part.

For some odd reason, Kurt, who had come back to McKinley after Karofsky ensured that he would no longer be bullied, staged an intervention in the mall instead of the choir room after school.

Julia and Sam were all over each other and dancing together, making Santana silently jealous.  Sam spun Julia in circles as the two giggled together, Julia fully enjoying herself, but would've enjoyed the dance number just a bit more if she was with a certain Latina.

On the other hand, Santana thought it was weird that Julia wasn't dancing with Layton instead. Even if she didn't like him, the two were actually dating.

Santana reminded herself that she needed to look into Layton again after Julia's recent odd behavior.  She also reminded herself that she needed to patch things with Julia.

Julia and Quinn were laughing at something stupid Julia had said whilst walking down the hall, but their conversation halted when they heard three girls conversing as they stared at a Lucy Caboosey poster and a Minnie Mouse poster.

"She's like an inspiration.  One of us, one who overcame," one girl said, staring at Quinn's power.

"I always thought she was just some kind of stuck-up bitch, but she's really one of the people," another girl said.

"And she preaches self-love and embraces all her flaws.  What a role model," the last girl said, directing her attention over to Julia's poster.

"Her mantra is so beautiful," the first girl also gazed at Julia's poster.  "'Embrace your flaws cause you were born this way,'" she quoted.  "Pure genius!"

The girls then turned around, stunned at who they saw in front of them.

"Oh my god, it's them!"

"You have our votes!" the second girl said.

"I'll find a way to vote twice just so I can vote for both of you!" the third girl added.

"Thanks," Julia smiled.

"I'll try not to let you down," Quinn mumbled under her breath as the blonde and brunette walked away, their arms linked.

The two shared a look and a bright smile before someone suddenly appeared next to Julia..

"This just in, Jacob Ben Israel's queen poll has you up by 40%," Lauren said to Quinn before turning her attention over to Julia.  "And you're up by 50."

"Hell yeah, suck on that Fabray!" Julia humorously said with a smirk as Quinn playfully rolled her eyes and hit Julia's shoulder.

"I suppose I had that result coming," Lauren said as the three stopped in the middle of the hall.  "It's not cool what I did to you two, and I apologize."

"But you know what, Lauren?  I respect you.  You stood up to me and I don't think anyone's ever done that before.  Though you were unsuccessful because I always win, I have respect for you," Julia smiled as Lauren wondered if the Latina was trying to compliment or insult her.

Probably both.

"Yeah, me too.  I had to get a nose job and go on a crazy diet to walk around this school like I owned it, and you just do it," Quinn said as Lauren slightly smiled back at the two popular girls.

"Well, I have to admit, I have considered going blonde," Lauren said.

"I'm not so sure.  Red maybe," Julia squinted her eyes, trying to imagine Lauren as a redhead.
