"Artie, we wanted to talk to you about something," Finn said, almost the entire glee club sprawled out across the choir room with Artie sitting at the center.

"We think you need a Becky-vention," Tina added, Artie furrowing his eyebrows in confusion.

"You were spotted having dinner with her at Breadstix," Quinn said.

"So?" Artie questioned.

"So it's a little weird," Santana blatantly shrugged, looking around the room and wondering where her girlfriend was.

"Seriously, dude, what's your angle?" Puck asked.

"I don't have an angle.  She asked if I wanted to go to Breadstix and I said 'yes'," Artie told the New Directions.

"Look, we think it's great that you're being so nice to Becky but we just-" Rachel rose from her chair before being interrupted.

"I don't," Santana intervened in a monotone voice, not really caring about the situation at hand but more worried about Julia at the moment.  "  I know that girl.  That girl is an sly, conviving bitch."

"We just...we think you should be careful," Mercedes put the 'Becky-vention' back on track.

"You know, Becky may be an evil bitch 90 percent of the time, but it's cool that she's got someone to talk to, someone to look out for her," Julia entered the choir room, all eyes locking on her as she absentmindedly spoke, Julia more focused on her half-eaten granola bar.  "Oh, and sorry I'm late guys, had a pit stop for a snack."

Santana smiled at her girlfriend's entrance, Julia wandering over to the piano stool where Santana sat, taking a seat on Santana's knee.

"And guys, are we just gonna say it or not?  She's a girl with down's syndrome.  So what?  She doesn't seem ashamed of that," Julia said before taking another bite of her granola bar as Santana wrapped a protective arm around Julia's waist to keep her from falling.  "She's really no different from any of us and I'm sure she's pretty tired of being treated that way," Julia shrugged, not thinking much about the thoughts she distractedly spit out.

"Yeah, but you don't want to lead her on, I mean, she's gonna think that you want-"

"What is she gonna think?" Artie interrupted Finn, clearly annoyed with the clearly ignorant Juniors and Seniors of his glee club.  "That she's fun to be around?  That I had a good time hanging out with her?  You guys talk a good game how it's okay to be different, how it's what on the inside that counts.  But I think you're just as narrow-minded as the rest of the school.  I like spending time with Becky.  She knows what it's like to be trapped by disablity, she doesn't care what people think about her, and she's really optimistic about life which is really amazing considering what life has handed her."

Artie wheeled out of the room, Julia imagining a mic drop as he left a dumbfounded group of teens and one very hungry Latina.

Another day in glee club, another Rachel song.  Who could've possibly guessed?  And of course, tear filled eyes were involved as well.

I can't win, I can't reign
I will never win this game
Without you, without you
I am lost, I am vain
I will never be the same
Without you, without you
