Julia uncontrollably laughed with Mercedes who had told a joke that seemed as if it was the funniest in the world to the two juniors. But their laughter stopped when Mr. Schue's voice rang out through the venue.
When Mr. Schue began to dance on the stage, Julia had to look away.
"Oh no, no, no, I definitely did not need to see that," Julia said as the kids at her table, Mercedes, Layton, Santana, Puck, Brittany, and Artie, lightly laughed and the table next to them with the rest of the glee kids joined in.
But overall the dance was sweet and just as adorable as Burt and Carole were. The glee club had a great time dancing along and cracking jokes before Mr. Schue let the best man, Finn, take the stage.
"Hi, uh, thank you," he started once the applause ended. "Best man, right. Uh, well, I want to propose a toast to my mom who is so awesome," Finn raised his glass as Julia did her best to hold back a scoff.
Awesome is the one word he uses to describe his mom? I'm a bitch and I could think of a million different better words.
"Somehow, without one even in the house, you taught me what it means to be a man," Finn continued. "In glee club, uh, whenever two of us got together, we got a nickname. Rachel and I are Finchel. Rachel and Puck were Puckleberry, and today a new union was formed. Furt," Finn said as a couple people laughed.
That included Brittany who laughed obnoxiously.
"You and me, man, we're brothers from another mother," Finn said to Kurt. "And, quite frankly, no one else has shown me as much as you about what it means to be a man. And over the past few weeks, uh, some stuff's gone down and I haven't manned up like I should've. From now on, no matter what it costs me, I got your back. Okay? Even if it means getting a slushy in the face every now and then," Finn said as the only laughter came from the glee club who actually knew what Finn was talking about. "You put this entire wedding together by yourself, Kurt. So as a thank you, I had the glee club put together a little number in your honor."
Finn walked over to Kurt where he was sitting as the glee club began to sing.
"You're going to dance it with me, dude," Finn said as Kurt smiled and mouthed a 'no', but Finn insisted.
Julia and Santana, along with the rest of the foursome danced on one side of the room together before meeting each of their boyfriends.
Julia immediately ran into Layton's arms as he caught her by the waist and pulled her closer as the two of them danced together, Layton spinning Julia so many times she thought she would fall over from her dizziness.
Julia grabbed the boy by his tie to prevent herself from falling over as the two giggled together, aimlessly and jokingly dancing around the room, their smiles lighting up the venue.
Santana danced with Puck, and while they had their own fun, Santana's eyes always lingered on Julia for a second too long. Especially every time Layton pulled her closer or Julia placed a kiss on his cheek.
Even though she couldn't feel it in the moment, it was slowly breaking her inside.

"Come on, guys, the wedding was great, but we have got to get ready for sectionals next week," Mr. Schue said, entering the classroom late, as usual, Kurt entering right after him.
