A/N: So, I'm sure most of you have already heard about Naya's disappearance, but if you haven't, I would go and do some research of your own about what happened and develop your own opinions. I'm sending out prayers to her family and her son, Josey, and praying that she's somewhere out there, safe and healthy, I love her so much. I wrote a little bit more about this on my message board and I could go on a long rant about how they're not doing enough to search for her, but right now, I don't think I've really processed what's actually happening an I don't just want to blurt something out without all the facts or just half-ass it. When I'm able to fully get myself together, I might write something else on my message board.
And even though these chapters were pretty hard to finish considering what's going on, before I had heard the news, I had already planned to put these chapters up today. So, I have decided to follow through and publish these chapters to hopefully instill a bit of hope and joy into the hearts of everyone during such a horrible time.
And please, please, please treat Naya like a human being. I've seen some disgusting things on twitter and I just want to remind everyone that Naya is a daughter, sister, and mother and she is more than just some celebrity and she is not Santana Lopez. Yes, she's made mistakes, but that is what human beings do. Please be kind and send out prayers and good wishes for Naya and to her family.
Julia sighed, staring at her reflection in the mirror as she tightened her ponytail. She slightly bent her knees, ready to jump up and perform a backflip when she heard a voice from the doorway.
"I've been looking for you everywhere."
Miraculously, Julia didn't jump or flinch, but she simply turned her head to see Santana standing in the doorway with crossed arms and raised eyebrows. The brown-eyed girl wasn't too surprised to see her girlfriend in the dance studio.
"Sorry, I meant to text you," Julia apologized as she turned back toward the mirror that covered the entire wall, gazing at both hers and Santana's reflections. "I just kept messing up at practice today and I need to get my backflip down...and my aerial...and literally everything."
Julia aggressively pushed all the loose strands of hair out of her face as Santana slowly walked just behind her, silently listening to Julia.
"I should be able to do it all without even trying but I don't know...my mind's gone or something," Julia sighed, continuing to stare at Santana through the mirror and look for some reaction.
"You were great, as always," Santana told her girlfriend, slightly confused as to why Julia was being so hard on herself after she had a great Cheerios practice. "And so what if you almost fell once? I mean, it was burning hot and Sue didn't give us, like, any water breaks so it makes sense. You were still better than everybody else," Santana shrugged, simply stating a fact.
"Still not good enough," Julia grumbled before quickly pushing off the ground and performing a beautiful backflip but barely landing on her feet.
Barely.
Julia stumbled back into Santana who comfortably snaked her arms around Julia's waist to catch her. Julia rested her back against Santana's chest before she threw her head back, over Santana's shoulder with a groan.
"Fuck," Julia cursed, as Santana held the girl a bit tighter.
The freckled girl lifted her head and tried to walk out of Santana's grip, but Santana wasn't going to let Julia go. Every time Julia tried to pull away and get back to her acrobatics, Santana just pulled her closer.
