"I'll show you the video when you get home," Mr. Schue said, on the phone with someone as he walked into the room.
Julia's eyes immediately gravitated toward the small trophy in his hand.
"Have fun at the sweat lodge," Mr. Schue continued his call as the two Latinas in the room halted their conversation gave each other a look before listening in on the conversation. "Namaste to you too," the man laughed.
Julia and Santana both threw the Spanish teacher looks of disgust at his awful cheesiness.
"Ms. Holliday sends her best and can't wait to congratulate you all in person when she gets back from her meditation retreat," Mr. Schue addressed the class, shoving his phone into his pocket. "Now, we all know that winning Regionals was a team effort and Nationals isn't going to be any different. But, like in sports, every team has a player that rises above to carry their team to victory: the MVP. I would like to start a tradition of honoring that player after every one of our competitions."
Mr. Schue picked the trophy up off of the piano and held it out in front of him.
Julia rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, already knowing who the award was going to,
"So, per a unanimous vote by all of you, our Regionals MVP is...Miss Rachel Berry," Mr. Schue said as Rachel looked genuinely shocked and everyone began to cheer.
"Because she was the only one who sang at Regionals," Santana whispered over to Julia who nodded in agreement.
"Come on up!" Mr. Schue exclaimed as Rachel walked to the front of the room with a gigantic grin on her face. "Congratulations!"
"Thank you, if I could just say a few words," Rachel pulled away from her hug with Mr. Schue.
"And here she goes, making me regret voting for her," Julia said with yet another eye roll, those around her smiling at the comment, knowing it was going to be true in about two seconds.
"Well, first of all, I just want to say how amazing the song you guys wrote was. I was so inspired. You know, it's funny, I've won a lot of trophies before for singing competitions and dancing competitions," Rachel started, Julia holding back her inevitable scoff and eye roll. "But, I've always felt like the girl who never gets the brass ring. And maybe I never will, but today a-and at Regionals," tears welled up in Rachel's eyes. "The way you guys believed in me and took a chance with me. All I've ever wanted is to feel special a-and to feel chosen, and I just want to thank you guys so much for giving me that. That's all."
Everyone quickly began to cheer before getting up out of their seats to engulf Rachel in a huge hug. Julia sighed before getting up to join it, dragging Santana along with her, the smiles in the glee club being infectious.
"MVP! MVP! MVP!" everyone chanted as giggles were heard throughout the room.
Of course, Julia and Santana found themselves sandwiched next to each other in the gigantic group hug. The two smiled at each other as Julia leaned her head down onto Santana's shoulder.
"You're cute," Santana whispered to her best friend who blushed and smiled even brighter.
"Just for you."

"Something is totally up," Quinn said, approaching Julia at her locker.
"With what? With who?" Julia asked with fake cluelessness.
"With you. And don't even deny it because-"
"Okay, okay, there's something that I didn't tell you," Julia said, closing her locker before beginning to walk away, Quinn quickly catching up to meet the girl at her side. "So...Santana may have told me that she loved me."
