Couldn't be bothered again, so you'll have to deal with this unedited shit again

It felt like the first few hours of their 24 hour period locked in the elevator again, both of the girls now awake and groggy, the room on edge once again since memories of last night's occurrences came flooding back.

But it wasn't necessarily those memories that made both girls so stiff and tense, it was that they both realized they loved and craved for their bodies and lips to be so close again when they really shouldn't.

The two girls still made a bit of small talk just to keep themselves a bit less bored, never bringing up any subjects that were too heavy.

"I think NYADA's a lost cause," Julia sighed, resting her head against the wall and fanning herself with her fan, the heat now almost unbearable.  "I should've gotten my letter by the end of last week.  Both Rachel and Kurt did."

Julia sadly glanced down at her hands, twiddling her thumbs.

"And you know, I was really starting to believe that I was gonna get in but...I guess not," Julia shrugged.

"Well actually," Santana intervened, leaning over and unzipping her backpack, digging through her things and eventually pulling an envelope out.  "Your letter arrived in the mail on Monday."

Santana held the envelope up for Julia to see before the freckled girl snatched it from Santana's grip, anxiously reading over the writing in the top left corner to see that it had in fact been sent from New York.

"Oh my god, why didn't you give it to me earlier?" Julia asked, sounding more nervous than angry that she hadn't gotten her hands on the letter yet.

"Cause we weren't exactly talking earlier this week and I kinda forgot that I had it," Santana shrugged, wiping her face with one of her hands as she attempted to clear some of the sweat from her face.

Santana watched Julia stare at the envelope for a few more still, long moments.

"Well, are you gonna open it or not?"

Julia released a drawn out sigh, her eyes still locked on the envelope in her hands.

"God, my whole future is riding on this one slip of paper," Julia muttered, turning the envelope over, her fingers landing on the edge of the flap that was glued shut.  "There's literally no plan B."

Julia anxiously bit down on her lip.  A part of her would rather not know if she had gotten in at all than get rejected.  She had already been rejected quite a bit; from Mr. Schue, to her parents, to Sectionals, success wasn't a very familiar taste as of recently.

"I don't know if I can do it."

"Jesus Christ, Julia, just open the goddamn envelope or I'll do it," Santana rolled her eyes.  "You're gonna kill me with all this suspense."

Julia's eyes met Santana's for a brief moment, the green-eyed girl feeling a bit more relaxed yet excited, and bit less nervous that Santana genuinely cared if she got in her not, even if they weren't together anymore.  Maybe rejection would be a little less painful with Santana there.

"Fine," Julia quietly responded, her eyes landing on the envelope once again.

Her shaking hands slowly began to rip open the envelope, the noise of tearing paper filling the mute elevator, though her pace slowly quickened when the suspense began to eat her up as well.

Soon she had torn through the entire envelope, Julia taking a deep breath and lifting her head once again to meet Santana's eyes which were full of the same anticipation and uneasiness that coursed through Julia.  But unlike Julia, Santana attempted to mask her emotions, giving Julia an encouraging nod that caused the freckled girl to steadily reach into the envelope and pull out the folded paper.
