A few weeks passed and it was now half way though October. It was finally time for the 1st trip of the year to Hogsmeade.
"It'll be nice to get out of the school for a while." Sam said on the walk to breakfast the morning of the trip.
"Yeah," you agreed with her. You saw Draco walking with his group of friends. "I'll meet up with you later." You said to Sam, smiling. You ran up to Draco's group and wrapped you arms around his arm.
"Are you going to go into Hogsmeade with me?" You asked him.
"I have my detention with McGonagall, remember." He replied.
"I completely forgot about that." You said looking disappointed.
"I know it sucks, but don't worry. I have a way to get you your Fizzy Wiz Bees." He smiled and pulled some galleons from his pocket and handed them to you.
"This is way more then what is costs, Draco." You pointed out.
"I know." He said smiling. "Get whatever you want." You looked at him confused. "Take it as an apology. I should be going with you but we'll, I can't." You hugged and kissed him.
"Thanks." You said. "You know, you spoil me."
"I know, but you are my Hufflepuff Princess." You let go of his arm and kissed his check. You joined Sam at the Hufflepuff table leaving Draco with his friends.
As you enjoyed your meal you over heard Potter and Weasley telling Granger about a spell that woke Weasley up this morning.
"...and then there was another flash of light and I landed on the bed again." Weasley said excitedly.
"Was this spell, by any chance, from that potions book of your?" Granger asked. Your attention was grabbed. What kind of spell could be found in a potions book that could lift someone into the air?
"Always jump to the worst conclusion, don't you?" Potter snapped.
"Was it?" She asked again.
"Well, yeah, it was, but so what?" Potter answered. You looked at Sam, who was now talking to Sebation. She probably wouldn't have been interested in what Potter and his friends were up to anyways. You looked down at your plate and kept listening.
"So you just decided to try out an unknown, hand written incantation and see what would happen?" Granger said aggressively. This made you start thinking.
A few weeks ago, Crabb had been sent to Madam Pomfrey for quickly growing toe nails. According to what Draco had told you, Madam Pomfrey, who was eventually able to fix the issue, didn't know how it could have happened. Could it have been Potter and the book they were talking about? Your thoughts had distracted you and when your attention came back to reality when you heard Granger's voice again.
"I expect most of them are half-bloods pretending to be pure. It's only Muggle-borns they hate, they'd be quite happy to let you and Ron join up." Granger stated stubbornly.
"There's no way they'd let me be a Death Eater!" Weasley replied. "My whole family are blood traders! They're just as bad as Muggle-borns to Death Eaters."
"And they'd love to have me. We'd be best pals if they didn't keep tryin' to do me in." Potter said sarcastically. This made you trun around and look ar the group just in time to see Ginny walked up to them with a parchment in her hand.
"Hey, Harry, I'm supposed to give you this." She said as she handed the parchment over.
"Thanks Ginny," Potter took the paper "It's Dumbledore's next lesson."
'So, Potters been talking private lessons with the head master?' You thought.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Sam asked you, pulling your focus away from the trio.
"I'll tell you later, where did Sebastian go?" You asked looking around.
"He and his friends are going to go to Hogsmeade together." She answered the asked in a concerned tone. "Are you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." You smiled at her. "Well, Draco's got detention and can't go. Wanna sped the day catching up?" You asked smiling. It had been a few day sence the two of you had a chance to talk with all the extra homework and clubs that Sam was part of. She agreed and the two of you headed out.
Filtch was at the door, checking off the names of those who hap permission to go. He had the Secretary Sensor out again. Standing in the line, you heard Weasley.
"What does it matter if we're smuggling stuff OUT? Surely you ought to be checking what we bring back IN?" This comment got him a few extra jabs with the sensor. He had a point thought.
Once you were threw the doors, you stepped into the wind that wiped around you. The walk into Hogsmeade was cold and seemed much longer then normal. You finally reached the small town and saw that Zonko's Joke Shop was boarded up.
"Too bad," Sam said sadly, looking at the door to the shop. "I guess I won't be getting anything from there."
"I guess not." You said and headed off to Honey Ducks. Sam fallowed you inside.
"But a little recreation never hurt anybody. Now, how about Monday night? You can't possibly want to practice in this weather. " You heard Slughorn's voice as you walked in and passed Potter and his friends talking to Slughorn.
"I can't," Potter answered. You kept walking towards the Fizzy Wiz Bees and ignored them.
"You sure like these." Sam stated the obvious. You nooded and picked up some chocolate frogs too. You shoped for a little bit then noticed the extra large sugar quills next to Potter and his friends. Slughorn had left and the three of them were talking umungst themselves. You got a few quills and checked out.
"Let's get something to drink." Sam said. You agreed and the two of you headed to the Three Broom Sticks. Just as you sat down next to the windows with your Butter Beer, you heard Potter yell, "MUNDUNGUS!" You and Sam both looked out the window. Potter had a man pined to the wall and was pointing his wand at him.
