Marietta was sitting with her friend, Cho Chang, still in the infirmary. Marietta had been hexed, and you were only there to give her your sympathy. She was part of the D.A., so it wasn't like she was a stranger. You made to walk closer but stopped, when you heard her speak. What she said made you freeze.
"When I told Umbridge about the D.A., this happened." Marietta said threw tears. She was the one who truned you all in? A fellow D.A. member? Luna, who was still with you, looked at you in surprise. She seem to want to tell her, she had heard right. You weren't sure you did.
"When you spoke about the D.A.?" Chang asked. Marietta nodded. That confirmed it. You and Luna had heard correctly. You walked back out of the room, feeling mad at her for telling. As you did so, you heard Chang say, "but why did you tell Umbridge...?"
'But, wait.' You thought, as you got a little ways away from the hospitalwing. 'I told Draco. Why didn't that happen to me?' Now you weren't sure what was going on at all. It wasn't until lunch the next day, when you found out.
School was back on, and the students were all back to their normal daily activities. You found Granger to ask her about the D.A. list she had. You had a feeling it was jinxed.
"You're right, (y/n), I did put a jinx on that parchment." She said, sounding proud of her handiwork. You told her how you had told Draco a long time ago.
"You told him! You said you wouldn't tell him!" Granger yelled, angrily.
"I had to... he was teaching me Occlumency." You explained, "He was going to find out anyways. Besides, he didn't tell on us, did he?" You defended Draco. "Because, if he was going to, he would have told ages ago!" You shoock you head, removeing your frustration. "Anyways, why didn't I get hexed, when I told him?"
"You told a student. It would only work if you told someone to get us all in trouble." She said in a huff and stormed off, out of the Great Hall.
'So that's why.' You thought, and started at the doors Grangerjust went threw. You were snaped back to reality when Draco sliped his hand into yours.
"So," he said softly, and a bit timidly. "I need to tell you something." He pulled you into the corridor. You looked at him with a serious look. "Perkinson told me this morning, she went into the Room of Requirement after everyone left it. She found a list and gave it over to Umbridge." Your eyes widened.
"That's not good." You replied in a hushed voice.
"Perkinson told me your name was on the list a few days ago, but I didn't know that she's the one who gave it Umbridge."
"Wait, what?" You said, tilting your head and narrowing your eyes at him. "You knew that Umbridge had a list of name a few days ago? And you didn't tell me sooner?" Draco slowly nodded, disappointed in himself.
"Yeah, well. Umbridge told the Inquisitorial Squad that she had a list of names. I didn't know that it was a list that was made by the D.A. members." Draco said, continuing to speak softly.
"Draco, what were you thinking? Did you think she wouldn't use it to get everyone on that list?" You pulled your hand away from him.
"I know, I'm stupid. But I'm telling you now." Draco pleaded with you. You closed your eyes out of frustration. "I thought I better let you know."
"I love you, but right now..." you took a deep breath. "I am so angry with you."
"I know you are. I've been a real idiot." Draco admitted.
"That's right!" You said and stormed off.
Draco's pov
"I thought you should know." Draco said, but you couldn't hear him. You had already left towards the Hufflepuff common room. Draco chased after you. He finally caught up to you as he watched you disappear into the Hufflepuff house.
Your pov
With only six weeks left until exams, you found yourself in the Hufflepuff common room. It was really the only place Draco couldn't enter. You asked Sam to trun him away if he came looking for you.
"Are you two fighting again?" Sam asked.
"I just don't want to talk to him. I have a lot of studying to do." You told her, sitting down.
A notice had appeared on the message board that very morning, telling students about the career advice you would be receiving from your head of houses. Your appointment was at 5PM, and you weren't even sure what you wanted to do.
As the time approached, you made your way down to Professor Sprout's office, which was in one of the green houses. She helped you decide what path you should take, and you were excited to become a (enter profession). It ment a lot of hard work. You wouldn't have nearly as much free time as you did now. You left her office looking forward to the future.
As you enter the school, you noticed something had to have happened, while you were in your meeting with Professor Sprout. Standing on the Entrance Hall, were students, some of who where coverd in some kind of sap, teachers and ghosts. Peeves, the poltergeist, was bobbing over the crowd, acting like he normally did but was quiet. As you walked over to join your friends, you noticed the Weasley twins standing in the center of the crowd, looking like rats, that a cat had cornerd.
"What's going on?" You asked, looking around. You spotted Draco with the rest of Inquisitorial Squad. He looked pleased, with his maleficent grin. He must have been happy that they were trapped. Draco hated the Weasley family, although, you weren't quite sure why. You assumed it was because his father, Lucius, didn't get along with Mr. Weasley.
"The Weasley twins happened." Sam said with a joyful attitude, "They put a swamp on the fifth floor."
"Yeah... but they were caught." Sebastian said, sounding worried for them.
"That's not going to end well for them." You whispered, seeing Umbridge make her way to the center as well. "They're going to be in loads of trouble."
