"I didn't want to deal with her." Draco said.
"Why not? She's your friend isn't she?" You asked.
"Yeah, but she drives me crazy sometimes." Draco said annoyed. "We need to work on your essay." You fallowed him to the libary in silence. You felt he was hidding something from you, but you didn't care. He could have his secrets. It wasn't like you weren't use to it by now. Your parents were still keeping secrets from you.
Draco helped you finish your essay, you said thanks and headed back out of the libary. As you walked down the corridor to the Great Hall, you spotted Perkinson. An evil thought popped into your head. She seemed to be looking for Draco still.
"Hey, Perkinson!" You called out to her.
"What do you want?" She asked rudely.
"I was just wondering, is there anything going on between you and Draco?" You said once you got close enough to not yell. She got a smirk on her face.
"Why?" She asked surprised. She eyed you closely then asked "Are you jealous?"
"Well is there?" You asked again. She nodded. "Oh good," you said and watched her go from a thrilled look that you were jealous to one of 'what?' You went on, "he's in the libary." She took off to the libary in a run. You shoock your head with a slight smile. You didn't care if it was true or not. Maybe Draco would learn not to be a jerk. He may have been kind lately, but it wasn't nice to hide from Perkinson early. You didn't care much for Perkinson, she did beat you over the summer after all. She was your bully, but Draco kept her at bay. Now perhaps Draco would understand. Later that day you told Sam everything about why you weren't in the dorm last night.
"Are you and him back together?" She asked. You shook your head.
"No, I think he was just saying sorry." You said.
"How come you haven't told me about this room?" She asked hurt.
"It was a place I went to get away from everyone then it became a place for me and Draco to go when we wanted to be alone." You said as if it was no big deal. She seemed to be fine with the answer.
A few weeks went by and the match between the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw Quidditch teams were comming up. Potter had gotton a new broom; The Firebolt. One morning, students from other houses were all in awe of it. It was nice.
"Sure you can handle that broom, Potter?" Draco said coldly. You shot a dirty look at him.
"Yeah, reken so." Potter said as if talking to a stanger.
"Got some special features, hasn't it. Shame is dosen't come with a parachute, incase you get to near a dementor." You kept your dirty look on Draco, when you heard Potter.
"Pitty you can't attach an extra arm to yours, Malfoy. Then it could catch the snitch for you." Potter's comeback was brilliant. 'How does it feel?' You thought as you watched Draco walk back to his team mates.
Later at the match, you sat with Sam, Sebastian, Kathy and her boyfriend, Cedric. The day was beautiful and Potter's broom was fast. You watched as he charged the snitch over and over. He was about to catch the snitch finally, when three dementors came onto the field. They didn't look like the others though. Potter pulled out his wand, which they didn't normally have during matches, and called out,
"Expecto Patronum!" A sliver light flew down at the three strange looking dementors. Potter's attention went back to the snitch. He grabbed it. The Gryffindor team had won. In all the commotion, you looked to see that dementors that Potter had attacked were not dementors at all. Draco, Crabbe, Goyle and the Slytherin Quidditch team captain, Markus Flint, were all laying in a heep. Draco looked like he had been standing on Goyle's shoulders. Professor McGonagall were standing over the four of them telling them off for being so stupid. She took 50 points from the Slytherin house and gave them all detention. It served them right.
Once the crowd parted, you found your way to the courtyard. It was still a bit chilly out, but it was a nice day. You sat by yourself under one of the trees.
"I can't believe McGonagall," Perkinson said to Draco and his friends. "You got hit by that silver thing from Potter, he should have gotten into trouble for that. You're not supposed to have your wands." She ranted on. You eyed them all.
Draco's pov
Draco was sore from the attack of the silver thing that hit them at the match. Perkinson was ranting about how it wasn't fair. Draco was nodding along until he saw you under the tree watching them. He stopped walking and let the group walk on. Once they were far away, he truned and walked up to you.
"You're going to give me a lecture aren't you?" Draco asked wearily.
You're pov
"Nope." You said calmly, leaning back against the trunk of the tree. Draco looked shocked.
"I was expecting you to hunt me down to yell at me." He said.
"Nope, you got enough punishment." You closed your eyes.
"So you don't care?" He asked sitting in the grass.
"I gave up" You said, "You're not going to understand, so I give up." You got up and walked away.
"You're mad" Draco said getting up too.
"No, I'm disappointed in you." You said flipping around. "You only care about you! The people around you do what ever you tell them! They don't get it either. Stay there with them and leave me alone. Stop comming up to me because it hurts!" You said, tears forming in your eyes. Draco let you walk away.
That next morning you woke and went down to the Great Hall, only to find that Sirius Black was in the school. He had been in the Gryffindor common room over the night.
