Later that day, you went to the owlery with Draco. You wanted to replie to the letter Draco received from his father, telling him to split up with you.

'I want to know what plan He has, that splits me and your son up. I refuse to brake up with Draco just because He said to. I don't care what you, or anyone else says. I love Draco, and no matter what anyone does or says, I will always love him. So tell me, what's going on there!' You wote in the letter and shipped it off to Lucius Malfoy with Arrow.

"Do you think that was a good idea?" Draco asked concerned.

"I'm sick of not know things that concern me." You said taking Draco's hand and pulling him back down stairs. "Anyways," you said, changing the subject. "What are you going to do about the new decree?"

"What? Oh, that. Marcus Flint, our team captain, went to talk to Umbridge about it this morning." Draco said casually.

"That's good." You said smiling at him. "Because, I think I would miss watching you fly around on your broom." You stopped walking. Draco looked at you. "I hope Umbridge let's the other house teams stay too, because you will need someone to play against." You said as Draco kissed you. You kissed him back. You did like it when he did that.

Later that week you found yourself in charms. Flitwick was teaching the silencing charm, and Draco was having a problem getting his raven to stop making noise. You couldn't help but watch him stuggle. Draco wasn't particularly good at charms, but this was the top of the cake.

"Go help him." Sam said from behind you. You nodded and walked over to Draco.

"Do you want some help?" You asked him. He shook his head.

"I want Perkinson to stop." He said annoyed. You looked over at Perkinson, who waved her wand at Draco's raven just as Draco did the spell.

"I see, I'll be right back." You said and pecked Draco on the cheek. You walked all the way around the room. Then you walked up behind Perkinson and her friends. You tapped Perkinson on the sholder.

"We need to talk." You said, as you pulled her away from her friends.

"What the bloody hell do you want, (l/n)." Perkinson said, disgusted that you had the nerve to touch her.

"Why are you torchering Draco?" You asked.

"He won't leave you. I don't know what he sees in you. You're nothing. You have no right going anywhere near him." She said.

"So, you pick on him? That makes a whole lot of sense." You said sacastily. "Leave him alone." You left her standing there and rejoined Draco.

"Is that better?" You asked him.

"Yeah, what did you do?" Draco said as he got his raven to hush. You told him and gave him a peck on the lips before returning to your toad. Draco picked his bird up and walked over to you and Sam.

"Thought, maybe I would be able to focus more if I was over here." He said, sitting the raven down on your table. You smiled at him. You knew he was lieing, but it made you happy anyways.

"So, did you get the Slytherin Quidditch team back? Hufflepuff did." You asked him after a while.

"Oh, yeah, we got it." He said happily. That was a good thing. You weren't a big fan of Quidditch like most people were, but you did enjoy watching the seekers chase the golden snitch. That's the position Draco played too, and you loved watching him fly, even if he didn't usely play fair agenst the Gryffindor team.

The next day, you were sitting in the Great Hall at breakfast. You spotted Arrow, but he wasn't going to see Draco.

"Isn't this Malloy's owl" Sam asked, as Arrow landed in front of you.

"Yeah, I sent his father a letter." You took the letter and Arrow flew off. Sam asked why you sent him a letter, but you couldn't tell her the truth. If she knew that the Malfoy house, or your parents for that matter, were Death Eaters, she would feel betrayed. Sam was a muggle-born after all.

"Nothing to worry about." You told her. "He just asked me to tell him what Draco's been up to, that's all." You hated lieing to her, but what choice did you have?

You held onto the letter until lunch, which after words you walked over to the Slytherin table. You asked Draco to go for a walk with you. Perkinson gave you a dirty look but you ignored her.

"Alright," Draco said, and stood up. He took your hand and the two of you walked outside.

"I saw Arrow bring a reply this morning. What did the letter say?" Draco asked, as you made your way around the lake. You handed him the unopened envelope. "You haven't read it?"

"I didn't want sam to know what it said." You told him. "I told her your dad asked me to report to him about you. She believed it." Draco looked at you.

"You lied to her?" Draco said, amazed you would do that.

"Just open the letter and tell me what it says." Draco let go of your hand, and sat down on a fallen log. You sat beside him.

'It is not my place to relay information about plans. You were given direct orders, and I expect you to obey them. I know you will tell Draco about this letter, or give it to him to read for himself, so tell him the same thing. I expect the two of you to break up before the Christmas brake. Also, (y/n), you will be comming here for Christmas. Your parents will be on a task.' Draco read the letter outloud.

"So, he wants us to brake up by Christmas, and then have me go to your house for Christmas. Is he mad? I believe that borders on the line of torture." You said annoyed at the very notion. Draco read the paper again to himself, as if he had read it wrong the first time.

"Well, to bad." Came Draco's voice a  few moments later. "I'm not gunna  'Obay'." Draco said, doing air qouts. "I'm not one of his followers. He can't order us around." You couldn't help it; the smile that crept onto your face drew Draco's attention.

"What?" He asked you. "We're not!"

"I'm happy to hear you say that." You moved closer to him. "Because, I love you, Draco Malfoy." You layed your head on him.

"They can't expect us to split because they ask. It's not fair." Draco said as he wrapped an arm around you and pulled you closer.

"Why keep us away from each other for years, then when we become friends, be like 'all is ok' and act like it's nothing to worrie about?" You said thinking about your childhood. You were told to stay away from the Malfoy manner, and until just before your 11th birthday, you did. "They allow us to grow so close, allow us to fall for each other, just to force us apart. What gives?"
