The Dark Mark-Year 4 Chapter 3

You stood there stunned, not sure what to do, as people ran away from other in maskes. Sam and Sebastian found you and convinced you to go with them. You met up with Kathy and her parents, when you heard a load noice with a bright green flash, that lit up the sky for just a moment. When the light diminished, an emerald skull was left hoving above the trees.

"The Dark Mark." Jake said, alarmed. You looked at him confused. "The mark was used by the Death Eaters." He explained to you.

"Death Eaters?" You asked still confused.

"You-know-who's fallowers" Kathy said. You all started running in the dark, and some how, you, Sam and Kathy got separated from the group. You stopped running.

"I think were lost." You said.

"A mudblood." You heard a dark and harsh voice from behind you. You truned around to see a tall masked man pointing his wand at Sam.

Draco's pov

Draco was leaning against a tree trunk watching the commotion when he saw you with your friends being cornered. 'Don't touch (Y/n)' Draco thought and started over you way.

Your pov

"Avada Kedavraca" The man shouted. A jet a dark green light shot from the tip of his wand. Kathy pushed you both out of the way. Your fall was broken by Sam, who was now under you.

"Expelliarmus" you heard Draco's voice. You looked up to see the man's wand fly a few feet away and break when it landed on a rock.

"Draco, you stupid boy!" The man said.

"Leave them alone!" Draco said standing between you and the man. You looked around to find Kathy. She was laying on the ground motionless. You crawled over to her.

"You stupid, stupid boy." The man said again moving towards him. Draco held his own wand up to defend.

"Draco?" You heard Jake. You looked up. The man fled and Draco lowered his wand.

"Draco..." you said starting to cry. "She's not moving." You had pulled Kathy's lifeless body onto your lap. The others came closer to you. She was gone, killed saving the life of her friends.

"Draco, take (y/n) and Sam, and get out of here." Jake told his nephew. Draco nodded and put a hand down to help you up.

"I'm not leaving her here!" You sobbed.

"You're not, I'll apperate her home." Jake told you, picking his daughter up. Draco's hand was still waiting for you. You grabbed it and let him help you up. You and Sam fallowed Draco back to the Malfoy tent.

"Stay here, I'll be right back." Draco told you, holding the tent door open.

"Where are you going?" You said and grabbed his arm. "Don't leave us."

"I'm going to get my mother. She's around here somewhere and she can help." Draco said truning to you.

"Then wait here with us," you pleaded with him. "Draco, I'm scared. Aren't you?" He nodded.

"Of course I'm scared, (y/n)." Draco said pulling you into a hug.

"Don't go away." You said hugging him back, tears drenching your face.

"I'm going to only be gone for a little while. You'll be save in here." Draco said sitting you down on a bed. "Don't leave this tent. I'll be right back." He walked out and disappeared into the chaos.

Sometime went by. Draco still hadn't come back, and you were getting worried that something happened to him too.

"(Y/n)," Sam said. She was laying in a ball on the same bed next to you. You looked down at her.

"Draco's not as bad as I thought he was." She said sitting up. "I can see what you see in him." You smiled at her. "I'm sure he's fine. He'll be back soon." This calmed your nerves. Draco would be back and you would be able to go home soon. Just as you started to calm down, the tent doors flew open and a masked men was standing there.

"Malfoy is going to pay for protecting you, you filthy Mudblood." The man said. "My wand got broke when he attacked me and you're going to pay for that. It was the same man who killed Kathy.

"You killed my friend!" You yelled at him, standing up as your temper rose. You and sam both pulled out your wands but before you knew what happend, they were pulled away from you. He moved so fast. The man grabbed you and Sam by your throats and lifted you above his head.

"You will die, then that stupid Malfoy boy will join you." The said coldly.

"Let them go!" You heard a voice say before things went black.

Draco's pov

"Let them go!" Draco yelled.

"What's going on in my tent?" Lucius said to the man. He droped you and Sam and you both hit the ground in a lump.

"Ahhh, Lucius." The man said. "Let me tell you what your son did."

"You were told to keep away from her." Lucius pointed at you. What was he going on about? Draco was lost, but was he ok with his father procteting you.

"She's with a mudblood." The man said, pointing at Sam.

"I'll handle her. Now GET OUT OF MY TENT!" Lucius yelled. The man disappeared.

"Father, please don't hurt the mudblood. (Y/n) would never forgive me if something happened to her." Draco begged his father.

"Narcissa, take the girl to Delta's" Lucius told his wife. Narcissa did as she was told.

"Draco, I have to get back to what I was doing, here." He said, handing his son a hammer. "This is the portkey to get you home. It will activate in about five minutes. Take your girlfriend back home and let her get some rest." Draco took the hammer and his father left. 

"(Y/n), I'm sorry. I told you, you would be safe." Draco said putting the hammer down and picking you up. He layed you on the bed and layed down next to you.

"Please wake up." He said looking at you sleep. "I almost lost you. I love you. Please, wake up."
