You could feel a wormth next to you. Some sort of soft cushion was under you. A blanket was draped over you. You were laying on your back. You felt someone holding your hand. Slowly, you opened your eyes, and the ceiling in your bed room faded into focus. You rolled your head and spotted Draco sleeping on his side next to you. You pulled your hand away from him and sat up.
"What is he doing here?" You asked yourself. Draco stirred, but didn't wake. Your niffler was sleeping ontop of Draco shoulder. You got up and felt the room spin a bit. You sat at your desk to regain you balance.
"(Y/n)?" Draco said sitting up. "You had a lot of energy taken from you." He looked worried.
"What are you doing here?" You asked coldly. You hadn't forgotten what he said on the train to Potter and his friends.
"I was worried. When the owl I sent over, the night was got back, returned with the note, I thought you might have been upset with me, for not meeting up with you on the train." Draco said. That's not why you were upset with him.
"That was last night." You said annoyed with him.
"You've been out cold for a few days, (y/n)." Draco told you shocked you hadn't realized this. Draco pointed at the stack of Daily Prophets on your desk. You looked down.
"What happened then?" Your eyes moved to the black pearl on the desk.
"Don't know." Draco got out of the bed and moved to the bench under your window. "I came over the next morning to see just have mad you were. I found you passed out on the floor." You looked at him. "Your mom helped me put you in your bed, and I've been here sence." You looked back at your desk. "What were you doing before you passed out?"
"I..." you picked up the pearl and remembered what you saw. "I spun this." You showed Draco the pearl.
"You spun a marble?" Draco was puzzled. You nodded.
"The poem said it's a peark." You said handing him the pearl and the paper.
"What is this?" Draco asked more confused. You told him what you saw before you hit the ground and all was black.
"My father? My father, took your parents wands? Why?" Draco asked still confused. You shrugged your shoulders.
"But I am mad at you." You said with ice in your voice again. Draco looked at you. "Did my aunt reply?"
"Arrow hasn't returned yet." Draco moved closer, getting up to walk to the desk. "Why are you mad at me?"
"They'll be the first to go, mudbloods and muggle lovers first." You mocked Draco. "I heard what you said to Potter and his friends." Draco's eyes widened. "You deserved what you got!" You spoke with an icy tone.
"When were you...?" Draco started asking but you cut in.
"When you didn't show up in the caparment, I thought perhaps, you got stuck talking to your friends. I went to find mine and instead found you, Crabbe and Goyle, in Potter's carpartment. I left the three of you and walked away livid, after you were attacked by them." Just as you finished talking, you heard pecking on your window. Arrow was sitting on the seal. You walked past Draco and let Arrow in, who handed you an envelope.
"It's from my aunt." You said opening it.
"What's it say?" Draco asked. You gave him a dirty look and read in silence.
'Dear (y/n), I would love for you to come spend some time with me this summer. I assume you know that I too am a witch if you're sending letters to me by owl. You can come by anytime you'd like. My home will always be open to you, my dear.' You looked up at Draco. He was watching you with eyes that begged you to tell him what the letter said. You read on. 'Is your friend Draco, a Malfoy by any chance? The last time I saw him was when you were only half a year old.' You handed Draco the letter and stormed out of the room. Now you just had to figure out how to get to America. That's where she lived, in the cascade mountains.
You were sitting at the table eating, when you heard Draco come down. He didn't say anything, but sat down next to you.
"Go away." You said and moved across from him. Your mom walked into the room.
"I thought I heard your voice." She said hugging you. "I was so worried."
"She spun this, before she passed out." Draco told her, handing her the pearl.
"Where did you get this from?" Your mom took the pearl from Draco and faced you.
"(N/n) brought it to me a while ago." You said calmly. "What is it?" Your mom took a deep breath before speaking.
"It's a memory pearl. It holds onto memories that have been removed." You and Draco both looked at her shocked. "It shows the upset viewers memories. The memory they need to remember at that moment. It will help to answer questions about your past." She looked at the pearl. "What did it show you." She sat down and you recounted the story again for her.
"That was me and Draco in the memory, wasn't it?" You asked. She nodded. "Why did you and father hand your wands over?"
"So we could live as muggles." She said with disgust what she said muggles.
"Why did you bind her powers?" Draco asked. You glared at him. Why was he still here? You didn't want Draco here. You told him to go away.
"That's what your father is keeping safe." Your mom said to Draco.
"Then who was the man?" You irrigated her, while you stood up.
"The Dark Lord." She said plainly, like it was obvious. You slumped back into your seat. Surely your own mom and dad weren't Death Eaters too.
"Are you...?" You asked, afraid she would say yes. "Death Eaters?" She nodded and pulled her left sleave up. "And dad?" She nodded again. Now you really wanted to leave. You looked at Draco. You may have been mad at him, but at this moment, he was the only one around you that wasn't a Death Eater. You got up and walked outside, leaving everyone behind you.
Draco's pov
"She's upset." Your mother said to Draco.
"I would be too!" Draco spat. "What is wrong with you!? You take her powers from her and hide our world from her! Now she finds out that her own parents are Death Eaters! At least I've known about my parents being one my whole life!" Draco got up to chase after you and stopped at the door. "Why keep the two of away from each other growing up, if we were friends at such a young age?" He asked, speaking softer.
"To prevent her from learning about the wizarding world." You mom said timidly.
