The next morning you sat at the Hufflepuff table waiting for your morning mail. You didn't usely get any but sometime you would get something from Draco's mom. She was always so kind to you. You looked up to see a flock of owls land on the Gryffindor table in front of Granger. She opend letter after letter. She was getting annoyed and eventually shouted "OW!" You looked down at the envelopes. Weasley picked one of them up and sniffed it. Granger's hand was now covered in a yellowish-green liquid and it seemed to cause yellow boils. Why would someone send her something that would hurt her? She ran out of the Great Hall. You assumed to the hospital wing.

You went to hurbology after breakfast. Granger wasn't in class. You walked over to Potter and Weasley and asked what happened.

"Hate mail." Weasley said. You had been reading the Daily Prophet and Witch Weekly, Granger had been mentioned in both. In the latest issue of Witch Weekly, granger was made out to be some horrible person who was making love potions to get boys. Perkinson has told Rita Skeeter, the writer of the article, that Granger was smart enough to make a love potion, and that's most likely what she was doing. You knew better, Granger was smart, but she wasn't a rule breaker or someone who would force someone to do something against their will.

A good example of that was her S.P.E.W. (Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare) group she was trying to do. You agreed with her and had a badge, and was surprised Draco hadn't said anything about it.

So naturally, you didn't believe any of what was being said about Granger. Potter didn't like Granger in that way. It was obvious he liked another girl. He spend every moment he could staring at Cho Chang. Class ended and you made your way to Care of Magical Creatures.

"Potter," You heard Parkinson's shrill voice. You looked up to see Perkinson walking down the stairs with the other Slytherins "Have you split up with girlfriend? Why was she so upset at breakfast?" Draco looked at her with a dirty look. You smiled at him. Was he actually learning to be nice to people? You waited for Draco at the bottom of the stare case while the others walked to Hagrids hut. He had crates at his feet.

"Not the skirts again." Draco said seeing them too.

"Let's go see." You said taking Draco's hand and walking over together.

"Nifflers!" You said excitedly. You already knew all you could about them. You had your own niffler of course. Draco smiled.

"This will be easy." He whispered in your ear, as Hagrid told the class about them. One of them attacked Parkinson's watch. You giggled. Once the class picked a niffler and headed over to the patch of dirt the Hagrid had barried a bunch of coins, you walked over to Hagrid.

"I wish I knew you were going to show us nifflers." You said happily.

"I wanted it to be a surprise." Hagrid said smiling.

"I can bring (n/n) down after dinner for a visit, if you'd like." You suggested. Hagrid looked happy about the idea and nodded. Potter walked over and you picked you niffler and headed off to join the others.

"I can't get it to dig, it just wants to attack me." Draco said annoyed.

"You forgot the snake pin on your robes." You said, taking the niffler off him. Hagrid had the students take all shiny things off before picking a niffler. Draco rolled his eyes.

"Well (n/n) leaves it alone." Draco huffed and took it off his robes.

"(N/n) is a well trained niffler who knows better." You said, handing the the niffler back to him. Draco took the creature but hesitated. When class eneded, Weasley won Hagrid's little game. Hagrid had said the one with the niffler who dug up the most coins, won a prize. Weasley won some chocolates from Honey Duke's.

You joined the others in the Great Hall for lunch. Draco walked over and sat down between you and Sam. That was the first time he had ever done that. You smiled at him.

"That was definitely the best magical creatures class so far, wasn't it?" You asked Draco.

"The nifflers were nothing like (n/n) though." He said, taking your fork from you and eating from your plate.

"You didn't enjoy class, did you?" You said taking your fork back.

"Not particularly." He replied exhausted. "Mine had me chasing it." You smiled at him. "It's not funny."

"It's a little funny." You giggled. "What are you doing over here anyways?"

"Hidding from Perkinson again." Draco said plainly.

"I see." You said, as Draco stole your form from you hand. "You know you can have your own plate."

"I know," Draco said taking a bite. "But your food tast so good." You rolled your eyes, smiling, and pushed your plate in front of him.

"Are you done?" Draco asked puzzled. You nodded.

"Do you want to take (n/n) to Hagrids hut after dinner with me tonight." Draco gave you a dirty look. "He wants to see him." You said. "Come on, you know you want to show my niffler off." Draco gave a small smile.

"All right, if it will make you happy." Draco said and kissed you.

"I love it when you kiss me." You said barely loud enough for him to hear. He smiled and kissed you again before going back to the Slytherin table.

Later that night you picked (n/n) up and headed to the Slytherin common room. Draco was just exiting when you got there.

"You ready?" You asked. He nodded but didn't look happy. "What's wrong?" You asked concerned.

"Nothing, I'm just not a fan of the half giant." You gave a stern look. "I mean, not a fan of Hagrids." He corrected himself.

"You don't have to go of you don't want to." You said.

"I want to though," Draco stated taking your hand as (n/n) climbed onto your shoulder. You smiled. "I like making you happy, and you're a fan of Hagrids." He said starting to walk. Your niffler jumped from your shoulder to Draco's head, which made you laugh when he stumbled back a little. You made you way down to Hagrids hut and knocked. Hagrid answered to see (n/n) sitting on top of Draco head still. He let you come in and sit.

You tapped your shoulder and (n/n) came back to you. Draco was relieved to have him off his head. You didn't stay long but Draco ended up showing Hagrid the many tricks your niffler could do. He seemed to forget that it was Hagrid he was showing the creature off to. As curfew grew closer you and Draco headed back to the castle. (N/n) wanted to stay behind and play with the other nifflers. Hagrid said it was fine and so you let (n/n) stay.

"It got late fast." Draco said, looking at the clear starey sky.

"It did," you grabbed Draco's hand and swung it back and forth. "But it's cold out here. We can look at the stars in the star room were it's worm, if you want." You said in a flirty voice. Draco smiled and pulled you in front of him, so you faced him.

"Are you saying you want to spend the rest of the evening together too?" He said in the same voice. You leaned into his chest as Draco wrapped his arms around you. You enjoyed him holding you so close. You made your way to the star room and fell asleep leaning on Draco, while you watched the fire flicker.
