You continued on as if you were headed to the hospital wing. However as Filtch faded out of sight, Sam spoke.
"Now what?" She asked. "We can't go out the front doors."
"I don't know," you whispered.
"This was." Draco said, turning the corner. "I know another way out." You fallowed Draco down a corridor to the old statue of Gunhilda of Gorsemoor, also called the one-eyed witch.
"Dissendium" Draco whispered. The hump on the witches back opened to reveal a slide. "This will take you Honeydukes. Ones there, apparate to freedom."
"Thank you." Sam said before climbing into the slide. "And I'm sorry for treating you like you were the bad guy."
"Don't worry about that." Draco said in a hushed voice. "Go." Just then voices filled the hall.
"Draco? (Y/n)?" Your mom's voice said. "What are the two of you doing?" Sam let go a slid away as the hatch on the hump closed.
"Oh," you spoke casually. "Draco and I are out for a midnight stroll."
"We do it all the time." Draco piped in.
"It's fine mom. We've done it for years." You said when she gave you a suspicious look.
"Well, it's late." She finally spoke. "And ypu have class in the morning. So off to bed."
"Alright." You agreed, nodding. You and Draco both headed back down the corridor as your mom starred at the one-eyed witch. Draco walked you back to the Hufflepuff common room and said good night before going off to his own house.
The next few weeks passed and it was now a few days from Halloween. You were laying in your bed, wide awake. Sleeping in the Hufflepuff dorms was way harder then it had been in years passed. The other Hufflepuffs knew that your parents were Death Eaters now. This made them act like you where out to get them, making you be on guard. Whispers spread around the school that you turned over Sam for her blood status. They treated you like an out cast.
"No way." Whispers around the dorm kept you awake.
"Yeah well, she's got to be one of them hasn't she?" Another voice whispered. You knew who they were talking about. Sighing, you rolled over. "She's the daughter of Death Eaters and she's been dating Malfoy for years now." The girl went on.
"Yeah, and everyone know that his dad is the Death Eater that was caught two years ago at the Ministry trying to capture Potter." A third girl whispered. You sat up and the room fell silent. You sighed again and left the dorm room. Entering the main common room, you noticed the people that were hanging out there was no different. You didn't even stop. You left the Hufflepuff house and made your way to the star room.
"(Y/n)?" Draco's voice filled the corridor as the door way closed behind you. "What are you doing?"
"I can't sleep in there." You replied and told him what was going on. "So I'm gonna go sleep in the star room." Draco nodded and escorted you.
"Guess a few of the students broke into Snape's office." Draco said as he walked into the star room the day after you moved in. "I guess they tried to steal the sword of Godric Gryffindor." You looked at over your shoulder to see him shutting the door. "I have no idea why but Snape wasn't too happy."
"I bet not." You said and looked back at the fire.
"He caught them taking the sword down the stairs." Draco went on.
"Who was it?" You asked as Draco sat down beside you.
"The Weasley girl, Lovegood and I think Longbottom." Draco replied. "Snapes' given them detention in the forest."
As the weeks passed, Snape had reinstalled Umbridge's degree of no more then three students in a gathering. This was because of the students who were fighting agents the way the school was now being ran.
"Will you join us (y/n)?" Ginny had asked just before Christmas break.
"I don't think that would be a good idea." You replied sadly. "I would love to join you, but others might leave if I show up." Ginny nodded understanding that the rumors that surround you would bring more problems then they solved.
Now you and Draco where back at the Malfoy Manner. The brake seemed to drag along but at least you didn't have to hear how you where helping the Death Eaters hunt down muggle-borns and blood-traders.
Christmas day finally arrived. You woke up to the sound of Draco's voice whispering your name.
"(Y/n)...(y/n)... wake up." Your eyes flickered open. Draco was laying beside you.
"Hi." You whispered with a smile.
"Hi." He said back. "Happy Christmas." You sat up and Draco did the same. "Here." He said, handing you a small wrapped box.
"We said we weren't going to get each other anything this year." You said stund.
"Well, I lied." Draco smiled mischievously. "Open it." You pulled the paper off the box and opened it.
"It's beautiful." You said pulling out a necklace with tiny diamonds inlayed in it with a large blue gem in the middle. "I love it." You said handing him the clips.
"Do you want me to take the other necklaces off?" Draco asked after putting the new one on you. You were still wearing the niffler necklace he gave you back in your first year and the niffler necklace he got you last year. You nodded.
"I'll put them away for now." You said as he handed them to you. You walked over to your dresser and but the necklaces in a small box where you kept the necklace, earrings, and tiara Draco got you back in your forth year.
Sometime later that day, Draco told you his crystal ball was glowing. You went into his room and sure enough Sam was finally calling. You spoke to Sam for a while.
"Sam is in America hiding among the muggles, which she said they're call no-mages there." You told Draco when you found him in an empty drawing room.
"She safe then?" Draco asked as you curled up next to him on the couch.
"Yeah, she's safe." You said nodding off watching the fire. Neither of you spoke for a while and before you knew it, the fire had died down to a light glow. You closed your eyes and was nodding off to sleep when you felt a blanket cover you up.
