"Let go see if Hagrid could use some help in the Great Hall." You suggested to Draco once you exit the Room of Requirement. Hagrid has already started by bringing in the twelve Christmas trees he does every year.
Draco looked at you confused.

"Why?" He asked. You smiled.

"Well, there's nothing we can do about the little project we're working on and what are we gonna do in the star room, sit there and stare at each other?" You asked. "Besides, it's Christmas time. We should be having some fun."

"And you think that decorating the hall is fun?" Draco said sarcastically. You nodded and walked off. If he didn't want to help, that was ok with you. Draco had been in a bad mood for a few days now. It would do him some good to get out of the Room of Requirement for a while and spend some time with other people, but if he wanted to do something else, you were ok with that; at least, he would out of that room.

"Hay!" You heard Draco's voice filled the corridor. You stopped walking and looked back. "Fine, I'll come help." You smiled sweetly at him as he walked towards you.

You walked into the Great Hall and saw Hagrid hanging garland by himself. Because he wasn't allowed to use magic for some reason, he was hanging it all by hand. He didn't even see you and Draco walk in. Of course, many of the students were coming and going without offering to help.

"Hey, Hagrid." You said, walking up to him.

"Oh hay ya, (y/n)." He replied looking down.

"Need help?" You asked. Draco walked up beside you. Hagrid looked at Draco then back at you. "Don't worry, he's here cuz I asked him to be." Draco had a bad reputation for messing with people.

"Well, alrigh', I could use a han'." Hagrid said and waved a hand to the box of garland. Draco pulled out his wand and waved it. The decorations flew out of the box and around the trees and banisters. You picked up a strand of garland that was left over and wrapped it around you like is was a scarf.

"What are you doing?" Draco asked.

"Having some fun." You replied as you threw a ball of it at him. It hit him in the chest then the floor. "Oh come on Draco, have some fun." Draco stood there for a minute then walked away.

"What's up wit' him?" Hagrid asked while the two of watched as Draco left. You shrugged your shoulders. You decide to let Draco be for a bit and help Hagrid.

After a while, when the hall was decorated, you went to find Draco. You looked in all his normal hiding spots and even the Room of Requirement but he wasn't in any of those spots.

"What are you doing here?" You heard Parkinson ask. You were headed to the Slytherin common room. You ignored her and kept walking. "(L/N), I asked you a question." She said in a demanding tone.

"And I chose not to answer you." You replied, never stopping. She fallowed you for a minute before speaking again.

"Well?" Perkinson asked again. "What are you doing down here?"

"If you are too stupid to figure it out for yourself, then you don't deserve to know." You replied as you walked up to the entrance of the Slytherin common room. "Anguis" you said to the stone wall and it opened up.

"How do you know the password to..." she started asking. You ignored her and stepped into the common room.

"Oh, Hay (y/n). Looking for Malfoy?" Zabini asked. You nodded. "He's up in his dorm room. Want me to get him for you?"

"She was just leaving, Zabini." Parkinson said rudely, looking right at you.

"Yeah, ooook." Zabini said sarcastically and in a half laugh. "HEY! CRABB!" he called up the stairs. "GET MALFOY, HIS GIRLS HERE TO SEE HIM." Crabb did as he was told and Draco came out.

"See, he doesn't want to see you. Look at him." Parkinson said. You continued to ignore her.

"Wanna take a walk with me?" you asked Draco.

"What?" Draco asked looking puzzled.

"A walk." You said again. "I thought we could go for a walk around the lake."

"(Y/n), its snowing out there." Draco stated the obvious.

"So? Wear your winter cloak, you'll be fine. Draco nodded and grabbed his cloak. You went for your walk hand in hand but didn't say anything. You just let Draco vent. After the walk and you were back at the school, Draco seemed a bit happier. "Feel better now?" You asked him.He nodded and said good night.

A week passed. Draco and you still had not found anything useful to help you fix the vanishing cabinet, and Draco was getting angry about it again, not to mention that he was growing pale. Draco had been slowly getting paler and paler as time went on and you wished he would take a break from the cabinet; the stress of it was clearly getting to him..

The two you were heading down to the star room while you listened to Draco go on about how the cabinet still wasn't working.

"I don't understand! What am I doing wrong?! Why won't it work!" He grumbled under his breath.

"I don't know." You replied. You understand that Draco was upset, in fact, you were getting there too. "So, why don't you get your mind off of it for a bit and come to the party with me." You suggested.

"I really don't want to." Draco said aggressively. "Will you stop asking me?" You didn't know what to say, so you stayed quiet.

The two of you looked at each other in an awkward silence for a bit before peeve, the poltergeist, flew by singing, "Potty luuuuurves looooooony?"

"What did he just say?" Draco asked curiously, as he watched peeves fly further away.

"Guess Potter asked Luna Lovegood to the party?" You said casually, watching peeves as he flew around a corner. "They are friends, after all." Draco looked back at you.

"Sorry I yelled." Draco said sincerely.

"It's fine." you replied. The corridor fell silent again and you could hear the snow whip around outside.
