"The dark mark." You whispered in a shocked tone, as you layed next to Draco, looking at the mark on his arm.

"Yeah," Draco replied, with a mix of excitement and fear.

"You literally just told me not to ask you about last night." You said as your attention drifted to his eyes. "Why did you end up telling me about this anyways?" You asked. Draco rested his arm on you wast.

"If you saw the mark, and you didn't know about it, it would have made you angry." Draco said plainly. He was right, it would have started a fight. You sat up and Draco did the same.

"Does it hurt?" You asked looking at his arm again.

"A little." He admitted, lifting his arm to look at the mark again. You let him look for a second before lightly placing your hand over it. Draco's gaze fell on you.

"Why did he put it on you?" You asked, moving your hand from Draco's arm to his hand. Your fingers intertwined with his.

"That's the part I cant tell you." Draco said quietly.

"No one is supposed to know about this mark, right?" You looked into Draco's eyes. "How do you plan on hiding it?"

"Don't know." He replied. "I guess a canceling charm would do." You rested your head on Draco's shoulder for a minute before getting up.

Later that morning, at breakfast, you over heard Narcissa speaking to her sister, Bellatrix, about the events of the night before, as Draco rambled on to Crabbe and Goyle, who had been staying at the manner for the last few days. You looked over the table at Narcissa and listened carefully. Both Narcissa and Bellatrix looked like they had been up all night.

"He'll be fine, Cissy. Snape will look after him, like always." Bellatrix told her sister. "If he can't do it, then Snape will. Though, I still don't trust him." Narcissa glared at her sister. You guessed they were talking about Draco. Narcissa looked up and noticed you looking at her.

"Is everything ok, (y/n)?" She asked. You shook your head slightly. You were still worried about her son and from the look of it, so was she. You still didn't know what all happened before you went to sleep, but she did.

"But I'll be fine." You told her, knowing she couldn't tell you anymore then Draco already did. Narcissa smilled and nodded. With in a few seconds, she changed the subject.

"So, the hurricane in the west country..." she tailed off looking back at Bellatrix. The last few weeks, you hadn't read the Daily Prophet, so you didn't have a clue about what was going on outside the Malfoy Manner.

"Yes, the foolish muggels believe it to be nothing more then the weather." Bellatrix joined in.

"Right, (y/n)?" Draco's voice filled your ears. You looked over at him and because you weren't paying attention to him, you were lost. "Are you ok?" He asked, seeing you give him a confused look.

"Im fine, what are you talking about?" You asked him.

"I was just telling Crabbe and Goyle how crazy Sam was being before we left Hogwarts." He answered.

"Yeah, she still hasn't spoken to me." You said looking away. "I'll talk to her when we get back to school." You looked back to Narcissa.

"So, you're not mad at her?" Draco asked, shocked. "I would be." You shook your head no.

"Well, you don't need to put up with that." Goyle said.

"Yeah, don't let a mudblood..." Grabbe started but stoped when you glared at him.

"Finish your sentence." You said coldly.

"... like her, bother you." He said slowly.

"You shouldn't  have called her that." Draco whispered, and looked between you and Crabbe. You looked back at Narcissa.

"I'll forgive it this time." You mumbled. You wanted to here what Narcissa was saying, not bicker with Draco's friends.

"The Death Eaters have been doing what there were told to do." One of the other Death Eaters said. "The Dark Lord told us to bring down the bridge, so we did."

"It's really Fudge's fault. If he would have just  stepped aside and let The Dark Lord take over..." another replied.

"Well, if the olf had done a better job casting the Imperious Curse on the Junior Prime Minister, Herbert Chorley, things whould have gone a lot smoother." Bellatrix said annoyed. You weren't sure what they were talking about and was trying to hear more when Draco's voice, once again, filled your ear.

"I'm just saying that you shouldn't call her that around (y/n)." Draco was arguing with his friends now.

"Draco," you said calmly and placed your hand in his shoulder. He looked at you. "Take your agurment outside. I'm trying to hear what the rest of the table is talking about." You spoke softly. Draco nodded and gave you a small kiss before leaving the room and of course the two boys went after him, shortly fallowed by Parkinson.

"The murders of Amila Bones and Emmeline Vance made it into the muggles papers, along with the bridge and what they are calling a hurricane." Your father stated.

"It's only a matter of time before The Dark Lord takes over." Your mother said, nodding. "Then the muggles will all know the truth." You couldn't hear much more. They were talking about how such an evil and horrible person was killing people. And they spoke as if it was nothing. You got up and went to joined the others outside.

The mist that coverd everything, made it look like October, and it was only July. You heard Draco close by. He was still agureing with Crabbe and Goyle.

"It doesn't matter! She is a MUDBLOOD!" Crabbe yelled at Draco.

"I don't care. If you are going to talk about (y/n)'s friends, don't call them that." Draco said, trying to stay calm.

"Do you like that mudblood?" Parkinson asked. Draco was silent for a moment and you guessed he had looked at her like she had lost her mind.

"Sam is (y/n)'s friend, and (y/n) doesn't like that term." Draco said slowly, as if he was explaining one plus one to her. "And I wouldn't care if she wasn't friends with Sam. (Y/n) asked me to stop calling people names, so I try not to. All I'm asking, is for my friends to not call her friends a 'mudblood'." You smiled at this. The mist was so thick. You couldn't see them, so you figured they couldn't see you. You walked closer until figures appeared.

"Thank you, Draco." You said, and kissed his on the cheek. The others all fell silent. You looked around the misty grounds.

"I can't believe that just yesterday it was so hot out." You said. "What is up with all this chilly mist?"

"It's the dementors." Draco said. "This happens when they breed."
