A few days passed and you could not get Draco to talk to you. You had sat down next to him in charms. He gave you a dirty look and traded seats with Goyle. It was like that in any class you had with him. He seemed to avoide you at any cost.
Weeks went by with no communication between you and Draco. It was now the end of September and the air outside had grown cold. You sat in the libary looking out the window one day. You were supposed to be working on an essay for your history teacher, Professor Binns, but you couldn't focus. Draco was acting like you didn't exist to him and it hurt so much. You were thinking about him a lot lately; about the fight you and him had, and all the times you got mad at him for being a bully. Why didn't he understand?
"(Y/n)?" You looked away from the window so see Luna and Ginny. "You seem sad." Ginny said.
"I'm ok." You said in a dreary voice. "It's just that Draco and I aren't talking."
"Can we sit?" Ginny asked. You nodded and they both joined you. You told them about the fight and how Draco was acting. You, of course, had already told Sam all about this too. The two girls tryed to make things better by changing the subject to something happer. It didn't work and you ended up helping them with their homework.
Later that evening, you, along with a bunch of other students, found yourself looking at a large sign that told you about the tournament Hogwarts was hosting. It said that the students from the other two schools would be arriving on October 30th and classes would end early. You broke free from the crowd and sat down. You looked around the hall. Many students were excited, but you didn't like the idea of students competing for a trophy in a life or death situation.
"It's so exciting." Sam said sitting across from you. You looked at her and then back at your dinner plate. "Aren't you excited?"
"No," You said looking up. Your eyes drifted to Draco. "I'm not. In fact, I'm glad that those under seventeen can't enter." You said more to yourself then to Sam.
"Are you ok?" Sam sounded concerned. "You've been acting down for several weeks. Are you still having a hard time with Kathy's passing?"
"No, I've come to trems with that." You looked back at your plate. Draco's still not talking to me." You told her in a broken voice. Sam didn't say anything after that. You finished eating and left.
Draco's pov
Draco was sitting at the Slytherin table when Sam walked up to him.
"Hey! Malfoy!" Sam said slamming her hands on the table across from him.
"What is a mudblood doing talking to Draky?" Perkinson asked Sam, who didn't bother responding.
"I don't know what's going on between you and (y/n), but you need to talk to her." Sam said. Draco gave her a dirty look.
"I don't need to do anything." Draco said taking a bite of his food. "Now leave us alone."
"You are so stupid! You're hurting her!" Sam yelled at Draco. He didn't respond. "How she loves you, I'll never know. You're nothing but a jerk to the people who care about you!" Sam said before storming off.
"Who does she think she is, talking to you like that." Perkinson said watching Sam walk out of the hall. Draco didn't say anything but watch Sam leave too.
'Why does (y/n) care about me, anyways?' Draco was lost in his thoughts. 'Why do I care?'
"Helloooo?" Perkinson said waving a hand in front of Draco's face. Draco stood up.
"I need to be alone for a bit." He said and then left. Perkinson was annoying him, and he needed a quite place to think.
'I can't go to the star room.' He thought. 'She's probably there. I don't want to talk to her.' He was still mad at you for telling him he was in the wrong for attacking Potter, he did after all insult Draco's mother and deserved it. Even if what you said was the truth, he didn't want to admit it. He found himself sitting outside in the courtyard thinking.
Your pov
You had been wondering around the school, upset. You didn't want to go to the star room because the room upset you. It reminded you of Draco to much. You passed a window by the courtyard and saw Draco sitting outside under a tree. 'I should go talk to him' you thought and headed outside. You walked up to Draco but he didn't react.
"Draco?" You said his name, afraid he would leave, but he didn't. He continued to sit on the bench but he acted as if he was blind and deaf to you. You sat down next to him.
"I miss you." You said. Draco still didn't respond.
"Draco?" You said again but to no avail. "Do you hate me?" He still didn't respond.
Draco's pov
He didn't hate you, he was just so angry. Draco didn't want to be around you, but couldn't bring himself to leave this time.
"You know, I think you were right." You said. "I think if I would have told you how I felt, it would have hurt more then it does now." Draco wanted to know what you ment but didn't move.
Your pov
"Are you going to ignore me all year?" You asked him. Still Draco sat there.
"Will you please say something. Anything!" You yelled trying to get a response. Draco still ignored you.
"Do I still exist?" Draco didn't say anything. He didn't even move a single muscle.
"I would much rather you HATE me then ignore me!" You yelled. "I can't take this, Draco! Say something, look at me." Still nothing from him. "REACT!" You screamed at him. Still nothing. "Fine, I don't exist then!" You said in a chocked voice and stormed off into the castle, crying.
