The next few days went by slowly. You and Draco spent many days looking around the forest and exploring. You thought about showing him the shack and trap door you found a few years ago. You grabbed Draco's hand one early morning and told him you wanted to show him the shack.
"The one you told me about last time you came here?" Draco asked. You nodded and pulled him along. You walked a ways before seeing it.
"It's not very big." Draco exclaimed, seeing how small the building was.
"I told you it was small." You walked closer to it and looked in through the window. It was the same as last time; small and empty. Draco opend the door and walked in. You could see him through the window. You fallowed after him.
"There's nothing in here?" Draco said confused. "What is this place used for?"
"That's what I wanted to know." You told him, looking around. "What's more interesting, is the trap door near by." You lead Draco out of the shack to the doors in the ground a few yards away. It was amazing you could remember how to find it. You showed Draco the path way into the large room. You pulled a small flashlight fro. Your pocket, knowing that the tunnel was long and dark, you brought one along with you.
"What is that?" Draco asked, eyeing the thing in your hand.
"A flashlight, it will light our way." Draco looked at you like you were some sort of nut case. "Here, I'll show you." You truned on the light and watched Draco's face change to amazement.
"Its like our wands." He said looking at the flashlight. "Does it do other things?" You shoock your head and headed into the tunnel. It wasn't anything special. Just a dirt tunnel, held up with planks of wood evey few feet, so it wouldn't collapse. After a few minutes, you saw the light from the large room. You and Draco stepped into the room.
"This is way better!" Draco was excited. He walked up to the books and looked at them carefully. You didn't get the chance to look around last time. You joined him at the books. It looked like old school text books. Books you were using at school now.
"(Y/n), look at this." Draco had moved on to another corner of the room. He was holding up a photo frame. Ypu walked over and saw that the photo he was holding was of both his parents and of yours. The photo versions of them waved and Draco sat the frame back down on the table. The two of you looked around for a long time, until you could smell something cooking.
"Do you smell food?" You asked Draco, who was sniffing the air.
"The cabin must be close by." Draco said.
"Last time I was here, my aunt walked in through another entrance. You looked around the room for a door, but there wasn't one.
'How did she get in last time?' You thought, just as a passageway revealed itself behind you.
"I guess this is how you open the door." Draco said, holding a cup. He had lifted it up. "It looked out of place." He set the cup back down and you both walked out of the room into the new pathway. The door shut behind you traping you in this dark space. It was only dark for a second before the lights ahead could be seen. You fallowed it with Draco next to you. Before you knew what happened, you were stepping out into the kitchen of the cabin.
"I see you found the basement." Your aunt said. She was standing at the stove cooking away.
"We found the trap door in the woods." You said.
"I see..." your aunt stoped cooking for a moment then started stirring the pot again. "I'll tell you about it when we eat. Dinner will be done in just a moment. Go wash up." You and Draco did as you were told. When you returned you set the table and sat down to eat.
"What's the shack in the woods about?" You asked. "And what's the secret room in the basement about?" Your aunt took a deep breath before answering.
"The shake isn't much more then just a shack; however, it was used to hid someone for a short time a few summers ago." You and Draco both gave her quizzical looks. She ignored them, and went on. "The room in the basement, well, that was your moms idea."
"My mom's? What for?" You said, annoyed that more secrets were being hid from you.
"To make it look like I was a reguler muggle, or as they are called her in America, nomage." She answered. "I can't tell you why." She said, seeing your expression of questioning.
"Who was the shack hiding?" Draco asked just as you thought about it.
"Well, that would have been The Dark Lord." She said, without even a flinch. You shot her a dirty look.
"Then are you a Death Eater too?" You integrated her.
"Not by choice. I became one to save my sister, your mom." Your aunt looked down at the plate in front of her. "She was pregnant with you." She looked at you with a sad expression.
"What happened?" You asked her, giving her the same look.
"Your mom was hurt pritty badly by an attack from the ministry. They were rounding up Death Eaters at that time. Your mom was captured and tortured to the brank of Death. She had lost a lot of blood, and we almost lost you too." Your aunt explained. "She escape with the help of your father and Lucius."
"My dad?" Draco asked, not believing his ears. His dad wasn't the type to come to the rescue.
"Yes, Draco. Your dad. He worked in the ministry and could get close enough." Your aunt said.
"But he helps no one." Draco couldn't believe it.
"Your mom, draco and your dad, (y/n) asked Lucius to help. I suspect he obliged them as a favor." Your aunt looked into your eyes. "When they got back to the Malfoy manner, you mom was barely breathing. I begged The Dark Lord to do something, anything. He said he would help if, and only if, I pledge my alliances to him. I held my arm out and he marked me."
"How did he save my mom?" You looked confused. How could he have saved her when she was so close to death.
"I'm not sure what he did exactly, but he waved his wand over her and her lungs filled with air. She was alive, you were alive. That was all that mattered to me." Tears formed in your aunt's eyes.
"So why did he need to hid?" You asked. She looked at you puzzled.
"She mean The Dark Lord." Draco said.
"Oh, after he failed to get the Philosopher's stone, he was reduced to something as weak as an infant child."
"Then he was here, when we came to visit?" You questioned. She shook her head.
"No, he arrived shortly after you left." You aunt explained. "He wasn't here long, just until he felt the aurors weren't looking in Romania anymore." You looked shocked and so did Draco. "That all I can tell you. The rest you want to know is..."
"With a secret keeper." You finished her sentence. "I know, and Lucius Malfoy holds that." You said annoyed.
"Now, it's late." Your aunt said, you had finished eating a while ago and the sky had grown dark. "It's time for bed." You and Draco both nodded, put your plates in the sink and headed off.
