"You're the me that was taken away?" You asked the dream version of Draco. "Then why not look like me?"
"I appear to you this way because your subconscious made me this way, but if you would like me to chance, just think of how you would like me to look." He said. You looked at him like he was nuts, but thought he should appear as you if he was you, but perhaps that would be too confusing. It would feel like you were talking into a mirror.
"Maybe, I should just appear as a floating ball of energy." Draco suggested as he changed into just that.
"That's a lot less confusing." You said, in a 'duh' sounding voice. "So, what did you mean when you said 'I'm you, or rather, the you that was taken from you.'?" You asked.
"I'm more of your lost memories." The energy ball said.
"So, a few years ago, I was here before. That time, I found Draco unconscious. Was that you?" You questioned.
"Yes, as a memory. It was a fragmented of a passed memory." You gave a looked of confusion to the ball of energy.
"But that Draco was my age, how could it have been a memory?" You said as the same scene appeared in front of you.
"That was your mind filling in the blanks." The energy ball explained. "Let me show you the actual memory. Now that you know you've seen photos of a yunger Draco, you should be able to see the whole thing." The Draco laying the ground faded away and the world around you changed. You were no longer standing outside. It looked like you were back home, well, almost home. You stood on the Malfoy manner grounds with a 3 year old Draco. He looked to be your height, which only ment you weren't watching the memory, you were reliving it. You couldn't control anything that was going on, which felt strange.
"What are you doing!?" Another young girl yelled, as she ran up to you and Draco, while you played with a ball.
"Leave us alone." You said in your childish voice. "Go away!"
"You stay away from my Drakey." The girl said and pushed you. You fell into the mud. You felt angry.
"You're a bully!" You said getting up.
"You're a git!" She said back. "And you're ugly too." She truned around and walked back towards Draco.
"That wasn't nice, Pansy." Draco Defened you. "(Y/n)'s my friend, and she was only playing ball with me." You were so angry with the little girl. You started at her back wishing she would go away. All she ever did, when she saw you, was chase you. Before you knew what was happening, rocks lofted off the ground and blasted towards the girl.
"Stop that!" You heard your mother's voice. She picked you up, and the rocks all hit the ground. "What were you thinking? You can really hurt people doing that." She said with a forced calm. Your mom sat you back down. When she did that you noticed the girl had run off, but Draco was laying on the ground, hurt and unconscious. The scene faded away and you were once again standing in a grassy clearing.
"I did that." You said, sadly.
"It was soon after that, that your mind was erased." The energy ball said.
"Was Draco's mind modified too?" You asked.
"I don't know about that. Remember, that I am your memories, not his." The world around you faded away again and you were now in the pitch dark room again.
"(Y/n)" Draco's voice rang thew the air. You looked around. Was it the energy ball again? "Wake up, my Hufflepuff Princess." You slowly opened your eyes and saw the real Draco laying beside you. "You must have been having a strange dream." He said sitting up. "You were tossing and truning." You sat up too.
"I was. It was so weird." You looked from the bed to Draco. "Do you remember the dream I had a few summers ago, where I found you dead?" Draco nodded. "Well, you weren't dead." Draco gave you a questioning look. You told him about the dream you just had. "I didn't feel like a dream though. It felt so real."
"I don't remember any of that, and I'm sure Perkinson doesn't eaither. Other wise, she would have remembered you when she met you on the train." You agreed with him. But was it true? You would have to ask your mom, once she got back from her mission.
"I'll leave a note for my mom to write me with the answer." You said climbing out of Draco's bed. You sat down at his desk and scribbled out a note.
'Mom, please tell me the truth about this. I just a had a dream were I was a child and I accidentally hurt Draco with some rocks. Is this true? Please send your reply to me at school, as that's were I will be when you get this. (Y/n).'
"Do you want to walk it over to my house later?" You asked Draco.
"I'll have too. I'm your protector, remember?" Draco said, playfully.
"That's right." You said with a smile. You walked over to Draco, who was still sitting in bed. "Then after breakfast, let's go." You gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and left his room. You went to your room and changed for the day.
After breakfast, you and Draco snuck off and headed out to your childhood home. (N/n) decided to go with you. You found him fallowing you and Draco.
"(N/n), what are you doing?" You asked and picked him up. The snow was only ankle deep, but the niffler's toes were frozen from it. He climbed onto your shoulder and you finished walking over. You opened the door and went inside.
"It's wormer in here than I thought it would be." Draco said, as (n/n) jumped down and ran upstairs. You sat the note down on the table and fallowed your niffler. It was strange being here without your parents. You let (n/n) into your room.
"I thought you might have wanted to add this to your collection." Draco said, pulling the book he got you for Christmas out of his cloack pocket and handing it over. You smiled and took it. You found a spot for it and you all headed back. In the next few days, you would be catching the train back to the school.
