You had noticed throughout they day that Draco kept wrapping his hand over the mark on his left arm only when he thought you weren't looking. It was around dinner time when he did it again.
"Draco?" You said with concern. He moved his hand away from the mark quickly and looked up. "I know it's bothering you."
"It is but it's fine." Draco admitted and places his back over it.
"It's not fine. You're only going to anger Him more." You pointed out. "I also saw that it was red this morning, it was glowing." You moved his hand and pulled Draco's sleeve up to reveal the dark mark, which was glowing bright. "You should go see what he wants."
"I don't want to." Draco said, pulling his sleeve back down.
"I'll go with you." You suggested. He nodded.
"Ok." Draco sighed, defeated. "I'll go."
"Wait a minute before we go. I want to grab something." You ran upstairs and grabbed a book from your childhood. When you returned, you and Draco made your way back to the Malfoy manner in the snow and ice cold wind. Once you arrived, you entered the house only to get bombarded with voices.
"When, my lord?!" One voice asked.
"Why can't we just invade the school now?!" Another demanded. Qustions like these filled the space. You turned the corner to Voldemort sitting at a long black table surrounded with Death Eaters.
"Ah.... Draco." He hissed, looking up. "Come. Sit. Tell us what plans you've come up with." Draco looked at you with pleading eyes, then sat down.
"I... um...." Draco started, then looked back to you. "I haven't really..." He spoke slowly.
"Had to put much thought into it." Ypu said and walked over to Draco. "Draco has asked me if I would see what I could find out about fixing the cabinet." You continued, standing behind Draco, who was now looking at you with confusion.
"And what have you found?" Voldemort hissed slowing with intriguement.
"Truns out there is a way." You replied. "I got an old book that may be of assistance. I won't know for sure until we get the chance to try out a few of the spells the book suggests."
"Well, then." Voldemort said, looking back at the group of Death Eaters. "We will wait and see what you do. I expect a report soon after you return to school, (y/n)."
"I would love to send you a report; however," you happily said then changed your tone to a more serious one. "Our communications are still being screened. You will just have to wait for the cabinet to work." The Death Eaters gave you a dirty look, but you went on. "When something goes through, you will know. We have to do it this way or the Ministry will know something is up."
"We will wait then." Voldemort said. "You are all dismissed. Expect for you two." He looked at you and Draco. You watched as the others slowly exited the room.
"WHY did it take you THIS long to come when called, Draco?" He asked. Draco stood there frozen. "ANSWER ME!" He yelled.
"Don't yell at him." You said angrily. "You have asked a 16 year old to do something that most adults can't do." Voldemort turned his attention to you. "How can you expect a 16 year old, a teenager, to have such a cold heart?"
"He is one of my Death Eaters." The raspy voice of Voldemort hissed.
"Not by HIS choice!" You hissed back. "It is Christmas DAY!" You pointed out. "And here!" You shoved the book you grabbed earlier into his hands. "Why don't you read this, you Grinch!"
"What's this?" He asked looking down. "How the Grinch stole Christmas?" He read.
"Yeah! You might learn something from it!" You said angrily as you pulled Draco out of the room. "Oh..." You turned back. "And that" You pointed at the book. "Is a muggle book." You said with a bit of enjoyment in your voice. Voldemort dropped the book looking disgusted. Before he could respond. You pulled Draco the rest of the way out and shut the door.
"Are you nuts!?" Draco asked with panic. "He's going to kill you for sure!" You looked at the closed door.
"If he was going to do that, he would have come after us already." You replied and headed back outside and back to the other house. Draco stood there for a minute before following after you.
"Do you really know how to fix the cabinet?" Draco asked as he walked beside you.
"Nope, haven't got a clue." You replied.
"But, then why...." Draco said as if you had lost your mind.
"We're free for now, aren't we?" You asked him, cutting him off before he could finish his sentence. Draco nodded, still looking a bit lost. "We WILL figure something out." You reassured him. Draco didn't look to convinced but let it go anyways.
The next few days passed fairly quickly and before you knew it, you were back at school. You woke the following morning to Sam.
"Come see! Come see!" She was way to excited so early in the morning. You rolled over, looking at her with sleepy eyes. "Come on!" She said and pulled your blanket off. You groggly stood and fallowed her to the bulletin board.

"That's like 5,916 knuts." She said disappointed. She was muggle born and her family didn't have much money.
"But in muggle money, it's 57.96 pounds." You replied with sympathy.
"Yeah." Sam sounded disappointed.
"Tell you what, I'll cover it for you." You said excitedly. "Think of it as an early birthday gift." She looked at you with a huge smile.
