Not taking the Astronomy Exam

Draco walked you to the Hufflepuff common room and said good night before heading off to his own house. You waited for him to be out of sight, then you truned and went back outside. You didn't want to go to bed just yet. You sat down under a tree next to the forbidden forest. The night was a beautifully calm night, with not a cloud in sight. As you relaxed under the tree alone, you thought about the upcoming exams you hadn't taken yet. You knew that you would so fine in them, but the History of Magic exam was at 2 pm the next day. That was the one you were worried about. You ran threw a few facts that you could think of.

Before you knew it, an hour had passed. A light shone on the grass at the castle doors, which made you look up. A group of six people walked out and headed across the filed. You ducked behind the tree you sat under. You did not need to be caught out of the bed after curfew.

As the group passed the tree, you noticed that Umbridge lead the pack. You wanted to know what was going on. You stayed hidden behind the treed as you fallowed. As the group arrived at Hagrid's door, you stoped. Fang, Hagrid's dog, let out a few loud barks before the lights in the hut flickered on and the door opened. Hagrid let the crowd in and you could no longer see what was going on. You didn't have to wait long before a load roar could be heard threw the grounds. Hagrid pushed his way outside, as a loud bang filled the night air. Red streams of light hit and bounced off of Hagrid. 'Are they trying to stun him?' You thought as you watched, unable to help.

As the red lights flew around Hagrid's cabin, a man's voice shouted, "Be reasonable, Hagrid!"

"Reasonable be damned, yeh' won' take me like this, Dawlish!" Fang jumped in to try and defend his human, but the effort was futile. Fang was hit with a stunning spell and hit the ground, which angered Hagrid. He let out a howl, and lifted the stunner who hit Fang from the ground and threw him a good ten feet.

The doors to the castle opend up once more making the light from inside flood on the grass before it. Comming out the doors was none other than Professor McGonagall.

"How dare you!" McGonagall yelled as she broke out in a run towards the commotion. "How dare you! Leave him alone! Alone, I say! On what grounds are you attacking him? He has done nothing, nothing to warrant such..." McGonagall was cut off by the attack of four stunning spells hitting her at once in the chest.

"COWARDS! RUDDY COWARDS! HAVE SOME O'THAT--AN' THAT--" Hagrid bellowed, as he fought his attackers. He swung his arms left and right, knocking a few out. Hagrid picked up his dog.

"Get him, get him!" Umbridge demanded. The people who came with her seemed reluctant to help her anymore. However, Hagrid still back up and ended up tripping over those that lay unconscious. He got up again and ran, fang still hanging around his neck. Umbridge send another stunning spell after him but missed. You watched Umbridge with disbelief. You knew she was evil, but you didn't realize just how evil she could be. It was only a few seconds later when the unconscious lifted from the ground and floated across the grounds back to the castle. You waited for them to all go back inside before you snuck back in after them. You went up to your dorm and found Sam, who started telling you what she had seen from the Astronomy tower during the exam.

"I know, I was only a few feet from the action." You admitted to her, as you climbed into bed.

Taking the Astronomy Exam

Draco walked you to the Hufflepuff common room and said good night before heading off to his own house. Around 10:45 PM, you and Sam headed out to Astronomy tower to take the test which started at 11 PM. The night was beautifully calm, with not a cloud in sight. A perfect night for the exam. You found your station and set up your telescope. Just as you finished, Professor Marchbanks told the class to start. You looked threw the lence to search for the stars and planets to fill out the star chart you were given. The room was full of the sound of quills on parchment and stands adjusting.

Before you knew it, an hour had passed. You were still searching the sky, when a light on the grounds caught your attention. You looked out the window and watched as a group of six people walked out and headed across the filed. You wondered was was going on, as you saw Umbridge lead the pack. You shook your head a little and returned to your test, as Professor Tofty let out a small cough. You tryed to search the sky once more when you heard a barking dog. You moved the telescope to look around the grounds. Finally, you vision landed on Hagrid's hut. The lights were on and the group was entering. It wasn't long before a load roar could be heard threw the grounds. A few students had joined you at watching was going on. Most had abandoned their scopes and was watching threw the windows. Professor Tofty let out another small cough. No one moved.

"Try and concentrate, now, boys and girls." He said and a few students returned to the exam. You kept your focus fixed on Hagrid's hut. "Ahem-20 minutes to go." Tofty said and more students scattered back to their telescopes. You shock your head and tryed to do the same, but didn't get far. A loud bank rang threw the night air. The room was filled with the word "ouch" as students looked to see the commotion on the grounds. Red streams of light hit and bounced off of Hagrid. 'Are they trying to stun him?' You thought as you watched.

"No!" You heard Granger gasped.

"My dear, this is an examination." Professor Tofty reminded her. You shot him a dirty look and kept watching as the red lights flew around Hagrid's cabin.

A man's voice shouted, "Be reasonable, Hagrid!"

"Reasonable be damned, yeh' won' take me like this, Dawlish!" Fang, Hagrid's dog, jumped in to try and defend his human, but the effort was futile. Fang was hit with a stunning spell and hit the ground, which angered Hagrid. He let out a howl and lifted the stunner who hit Fang from the ground and threw him a good ten feet.

"Look" came the voice of Parvati Patil. You looked down at what she was now pointing at. The doors to the castle had opend up once more. The light from the castle flooded the grass before it. Comming out the doors was none other than Professor McGonagall.

"Now, really!" Professor Tofty said. "Only sixteen minutes left, you know." You looked back at him with a look that should have told him you didn't care.

Granger, Parvati patil and Lavander brown all screamed.

"Galloping Gargoyles!" Professor Tofty said. He seemed to finally understand why they students where more interested on the commotion outside then their exam. "Not so much as a warning! Outrageous behavior!"

"COWARDS! RUDDY COWARDS! HAVE SOME O'THAT--AN' THAT--" Hagrid bellowed, as he fought his attackers. He swung his arms left and right, knocking a few out.

"Oh my..." Granger gasped.

After sometime of silence, with everyone staring open mouthed at the situation, Tofty spoke. "Um... five minutes to go, everybody..." You watched Umbridge with disbelief. You knew she was evil, but you didn't realize just how evil she could be.

Once the exam was over, and all the students had gone back to their dorms. You and Sam spoke about what you had witnessed, while you layed in bed before going to sleep.
