Classes resumed normally. Potions class was as hard as ever. You headed to libary to study when you spotted Draco, Grabbe and Goyle with Neville Longbottom. Draco was pointing his wand at Longbottom, who's legs seemed to have been stuck together.
"I've been looking for someone to try that on." Draco said laughing. Longbottom hopped away.
"MALFOY!" You yelled, angrily walking towards him and his friends. He told the two boys to go into the libary. "What the bloody hell is the matter with you?"
"I..." was all Draco could get out before you went on.
"How can you be SO mean?! I know you don't like Longbottom, but that's no excuse for picking on him!" You looked as if you were going to slap him. Draco acted that way too. Maybe you should. "You're a real JERK sometimes!" You yelled the whole time. You stood there, waiting for him to respond. He didn't move. You guessed he was afired to. "You're nothing but a bully." You told him talking normally, then walked into the library.
The next few days went by and you refused to talk to Draco. In Charms class, you had traded spots with Sam to avoid the a awkward silence with Draco. You feared that if you spoke to him it would come out in a yell.
Time went by and it was time for the next Quidditch match; Hufflepuff vs. Gryffindor. You were only cheering this time because Kathy was playing for your house team. As you set with Sam waiting to watch the game, you spotted Malfoy. He was being a jerk still. This time, he was harassing Ron Weasley. The teams came onto the field, and you found an excuse to leave for a minute.
"I'll be right back, bathroom. Tell me what I miss ok." You told Sam, getting up. You walked over to the stands were Malfoy was. You could hear what was being said.
“You tell him, Neville.” Weasley said in a, go get 'em, tone.
“Longbottom, if brains were gold you’d be poorer than Weasley, and that’s saying something.” came from the mouth a Draco.
“I’m warning you, Malfoy, one more word...” Ron said theatinly before his friend pulled him back to the game by saying his name.
sitting down next to a few other Slytherins behind Draco, you tapped his shoulder. He looked to see who it was.
"What now?" He said annoyed.
"We need to talk." You sounded as if you were a teacher ready to give out detention.
"Now?" Draco asked looking back at the game.
"Yes now!" You angrily whispered. He ignored you. You were so angry with him. Why did he have to be such a jerk all the time? Why was he so cold to people who where poor or not a pureblood? You flicked the back of his head and stormed off, and made your way back to Sam.
As you watched the game, you noticed the commotion going on were you just left. Ron and Neville were fighting with Draco. Just then, the stands all cheered. Gryffindor won, it was a good thing that Hufflepuff weren't sure losers.
After the match, you found Draco in the infirmary. With a bloody nose and a fat lip, he was telling Madam Pomfrey how Weasley and Longbottom did this to him. You stood at the entrance with a grin. Draco's back was towards you, so he didn't know you were there.
When he was all bandaged up, he truned to leave to only find you leaning on the door frame. You had a satisfied smile.
"Not now." Draco said, as he walked past you.
"Can we talk now?" You said sarcastically. The look he gave you was of pure ice. "You deserved it, you know; what you got. You were asking for it." You walked away just as he truned back to you.
A few weeks went by with you and Draco still mad at each other. Exams were drawing close, while the whether grew wormer. You had wondered down to the lake to study one morning during brake, when you saw Draco crouching next to Hagrids window.
Hagrid was a half giant with a scruffy looking brown beard. He seemed nice but a little shy. He lived in a hut near the forbidden forest, that you still wanted to know why it was forbidden. You decided to find out what Draco was doing. You snuck up beside Draco. He was so focused on on what he was doing he didn't notice you. You looked threw the window too and saw a baby dragon sneeze fire. It was so cute. Draco, still not noticing you, ran back to the school. You feared that he was going to snitch on them. You ran after Draco. When you caught up to him, you called to him.
"Malfoy, wait up!" He slowed to a walk and then stopped.
"What do you want, mudblood." He haded called you that in a while, and you forgot how it hurt.
"Please don't tell on them." You panted, catching your breath. "Please don't." He shook his head. Then walked off.
"If you tell..." Draco turned back and cut you off.
"If I tell you'll hate me?" He said like you already did hate him.
"No... you idiot. If you go running to tell, then that poor baby dragon will be taken away." You said walking up to him. "And as I've told you before, I can't bring myself to hate you, though I should." Draco rolled his eyes and he walked into the school.
A few weeks went by. Draco must have not told because the baby dragon was still there. You sat in Charms next to Draco.
"What you got there?" You asked him. Draco was reading a letter with an evil grin. He handed the paper to you.
"This is to Ron Weasley.... hes got a way for that baby to be safe." You said happily. Then it downed on you why Draco was grinning.
"Don't you dare interfere." You told Draco before Flitwick started class.
After class ended, you headed to worn Potter and his friends about Draco, but you couldn't find them. As a last minute thought, you went to worn Hagrid, to only find that Potter and his friend Hermione Granger was already there. They were talking to Hagrid thew the window. They must have figured out that Draco knew.
Saterday night came and Draco interfered with the dragon removal, as you figured he would. He got caught though. McGonagall gave him detention. You only knew this because you over heard Draco complaining about the situation.
