At breakfast the next morning, there was a long thin package being carried by six large owls. They landed on the Gryffindor table. Soon Potter and Weasley left carring the thing out. You spotted Malfoy, Grabbe and Goyle fallowing them. 'What's he up to now?' You thought to yourself. You stood up to fallow Malfoy, but was stoped when Sam spoke.

"Where you going?" She asked.

"To find out what's in that package. You looked at her like she should have already known this.

"It's a good thing your not a cat." Kathy said. You looked at her with a puzzled look. "Curiosity killed that cat you know." You rolled your eyes at her and took off.

You were got around the corner when you saw Malfoy shuff the package back into Potter's hand. You didn't really care for Potter. He seemed be letting all the fame go to his head. However, that didn't give Malfoy the right to pick on him and his friends. You stood there, peeking around the corner.

The boys seem to be talking about brooms, when Flitwick showed up. Malfoy told him that Potter had a broom. But to his astonishment, Flitwick was ok with that. First years are not allowed to have their own brooms at school. Weasley and Potter took the package and left. Flitwick walked past you and into the Great Hall. You stepped around the corner and Malfoy saw you.

"Go ahead to class." Draco said to the two morons next to him. He walked over to you but before he got the chance to say anything, you truned and walked away with a disappointed look.

"(y/n) don't tell me your mad again, you sure get mad easily." Draco rambled on while he fallowed you.

You flipped around, "You are the most selfish, arrogant, jerk I have ever met in my life!" You shouted and stormed off.

"HAY! I'm not selfish." He said running after you. "You don't know anything. Potter is the spoiled git who's getting things handed to him." He caught up to you. Pinning you to the wall, he whispered in your ear, "You're just a mudblood, remember that." You pushed him off of you.

"Then why do you care what I think? Who cares what I think. I'm just a mudblood who knows nothing!" You said back with tear threating to enter your eyes. You ran off not just mad but upset. How dare Malfoy treat you so coldly. Last night he was willing to get into trouble with you, even if he did chicken out in the end.

The day went by and you found your self on the bleachers of the Quidditch field. The Gryffindors came out onto the grass. You hadn't notice though because you were laying down looking at the clouds. You liked being alone when you were upset.

This mornings events wasn't the only thing that bugged you. Classes that day didn't go to well either. The classes you had with the Slytherins were even worse. Draco was acting meaner, if that was possible. You wanted to crawl into a whole and never be found.

You sat up and noticed the people playing a strange game....'wait?' You thought to yourself. Is this Quidditch? Is this what Malfoy and his friends would play in the fild by his house? It looked like it but in the air. You watched them play for a little bit before going back inside for dinner.

A few days later, you weren't going to be friends with Malfoy. He tryed talking to you, but you refused to acknowledge his existences. You were sitting in the libary studying with Sam, when Draco walked over.

"We need to talk" He said, you ignored him. "For crying out loud (l/n)! I got a letter from my mum." You still sat there, reading your book. Sam looked up at him.

"Why would she care?" Sam asked Draco with a snobbish tone.

"Because, Mudblood, it's about her pet." You looked at him.

"How should your mom know about (n/n)?" You asked as if he was making up an excuse to talk to you. He shoved a piece of paper in front of you.

"If you don't believe me read this!" You looked at the paper on the table. "You may hate me, that's fine. But I thought you would like to know about your niffler." He walked off after that.

'Draco, I found a niffler rummaging around our things today. I couldn't catch the thing. I sent Dobby after it too. If your father finds him your friend wont have her niffler anymore. Could you tell her to tell her parents to keep him at home? You're loving mother'

It's true, she did know about (n/n) even though you didn't know how. Later that day you would ask Draco how she knew. You went to the owlery and sent you mom a letter asking if they could keep your pet niffer close to home.

On your way to the Great Hall, you saw a huge troll with a club. It was walking threw the corridor, when it spotted you. The troll came after you and you ran the way you just came from. You felt something hit you and you everything went black.

You opened your eyes to see a white ceiling with bright lights. You truned your head to the left. Sitting in the chair next to you was Sam. You truned your head to the right to see Sebastian.

"Where am I?" You asked, sitting up.

"The infirmary." Sebastian said.

"There was a troll in the castle," Sam said. "It must have attract you because Malfoy found you in the corridor near the girls bathrooms." So it was a troll that you saw. It wasn't just a bad dream.

"Aren't you supposed to be in class?" You heard a voice say. You didn't recognize it.

"But Madam Pomphy," Sam said whining. "Our friend is hurt"

"I know that, and you two need to be in class. Now get a move on it." Madam Pomphy stated. She was a sweet looking lady. You layed back down, and fell back to sleep.

When you woke again, you were laying on your left side. Draco was sleeping in the chair next to the bed; His head on the wall as if it were a pillow.

"What are you doing here?" You asked him. He opened his eyes and sat up.

"It's my free period and I wanted to see how you were doing." Draco looked worried.

"Like you actually care." You said closing your eyes again. You didn't care if he cared. He was just a cold boy who picked on those who he deemed unworthy.

"Well I do." He said, laying his back back on the wall. You opend your eyes. Draco had closed his. You layed in the bed watching him. Nothing was said for sometime. Was he realy concerned? Why?

"How did your mom know about (n/n)?" You asked him. He didn't move or open his eyes but answered.

"She caught me putting the book away." He shifted to his side so he was facing you but was still leaning his head on the wall. "So, I had to tell her."

"I'm still mad at you, you know." You said closing your eyes again.

"I know you hate me."

"I...I don't.... hate you. I just hate the things you do." You said feeling hurt that, that's what he thought.

You fell back to sleep.

Draco's pov.

Draco sat up shocked. 'She doesn't hate me' he thought. 'After I practically attacked her?' He realized you were sound alseep. Some of your hair had fallen in your face. He gently moved your hair behind your ear. Draco blushed a little. He jumped up and left the room abruptly, not knowing why you made him want to be around someone of your blood line.

"Damb mudblood!" He crumbled to himself walking to his common room.
